"W-what? Why are you sorry?" Alex asked, bringing himself out the embrace. Jack slowly looked down, his hair flopping in front of him. Alex mentally sighed to himself as Jack pulled his head down. Jack took a nervous breath, fiddling with his sleeves.

"I'm sorry that Jason had a go at you. It should've been me, not you." Jack mumbled, continuing to pick at his sleeves. That was only part of what he wanted to say, but he couldn't say the things he wanted. He wanted to thank Alex for being there, saving him. He was also sorry that he never spoke to Alex, nor look like he cared. Jack does care about Alex.

"No, Jack, it shouldn't of been you. It shouldn't be anyone that gets that treatment from them. I don't know how I've been so oblivious to how they were treating you before. I guess I clicked and finally understood that what they're doing is wrong and horrible." Alex said truly, looking into the mirror beside him. He still hates the way he looks. Jack looked up a little, catching Alex look miserably at himself. He shifted in his spot awkwardly.

"T-They still didn't have to say them w-words to you." Jack stuttered, looking back down again. Alex turned around and let out a shaky breath. He nodded, even though Jack's head was down.

"Yeah, they shouldn't of. But it's okay, I'm o-over it." Alex nervously said. That wasn't the truth. Those thoughts about how Jason had mentioned his brother to the whole class still got to him. Though, Alex did say some kind of 'evil' stuff about Jason's mum. It wasn't his fault he didn't know. Yet again, he shouldn't of said it, but he wanted so desperately to fight back and stick up for Jack.

Thunder from outside shocked both the boys. Jack closed his eyes, biting his lip at the sound. The thunder sounded really aggressive to Jack, while to Alex, it was just another natured sound.

"Do you wanna go back to class? I'm sure Miss had sent out someone to look for us, or the other teachers have," Alex spoke as lightening spilled through the bathroom. Jack closed his eyes again, bringing his arms around him to comfort himself.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Alex asked, his voice smooth to Jack's ears. Alex stared as the boy just shook his head, wrapping himself with his arms. Alex pouted at Jack, walking over to hug him. Jack jumped a little at Alex's sudden movement. He began to shake a little, but wrapped his arms around Alex and placed his head into his shoulder. He was about to cry from fear. Jack's never liked thunder and lightening. He hated it since he was a kid. It's only ever thundered twice since in school, but many when he's been at home with new bruises over his body.

"Is it because of the lightening?" Alex asked quietly, rubbing Jack's back a little. Alex only wanted Jack to feel comfortable. Jack nodded into Alex's shoulder, shutting his eyes as he heard more thundering.

"Hey, it's okay! It's not going to hurt you here. Hey, isn't there a song? Thunder lightening...go away? Go and- no, that's not it," Alex chuckled, completely forgetting the words to his childhood song. Jack smiled at Alex, finding it really cute how Alex was trying to remember a song but getting the lyrics wrong.

"Oh!" Alex exclaimed, giggling a little. Jack loved that noise so much.

"It's... rain, rain, go away...uh-uh. Come back another day? The man broke his head and died," Alex said simply. Jack chuckled at how straight out Alex said the last bit.

"Heeeey? Is that a little chuckle I hear from Mr. Jack?" Alex smirked, bringing his fingers into Jack's sides to tickle him. Alex hoped Jack was ticklish, or this would've been awkward. Jack gasped at the sudden feeling on his ribs. He began laughing straight away, bringing his head off Alex and trying to get away from Alex.

"A-Alex!" Jack laughed, smiling. Alex smirked, continuing to tickle him until suddenly a HUGE noise stopped them. Jack stopped laughing and smiling. It was the thunder. It was louder than ever. Jack looked at Alex with fear now stuck in his eyes.

"Ignore that meanie up there." Alex spoke, wrapping himself around Jack again. Jack tucked his head into Alex's neck this time, letting his tears fall from his eyes. That was the loudest thunder he had ever heard. He was happy Alex was here to comfort him because, to be honest, Alex is the only one that can make him feel comfortable. Even by being near him makes him happy and comfortable. Jack silently let the tears continue to roll down his cheek. Alex shivered a little when he felt something cold and wet hit his neck. He figured out Jack was crying and that made Alex upset. Alex hated it when Jack was upset. He didn't believe Jack should be upset. He deserved to be happy like any other.

"Hey, it's okay. How about when the rain's gone, we walk home? Fuck school." Alex smiled at the end. Jack wasn't even thinking when he nodded. He felt so stupid to be crying in front of Alex again. He felt embarrassed and stupid.

"Y-Yeah." Jack mumbled, hugging Alex a little tighter than he originally was. He was really, really starting to trust Alex.
