What could go wrong?
I knew today would be great, it's times like tyhese I was glad to have so many fears and phobias. Alex's mum and dad were happy for us what else could I ask for? Oh yeah, MY parents to be happy for me for once!
Me and Alex had decided to tell my parents, and I was dreading it. Now, don't get me wrong, I love Alex and I'm not embarrased of him, I'm embarrased of my parents. Alex has only ever met them once, when they were arguing about money, all they ever do is argue about everything and Alex's house is where I always run to get away from things. And now I wanted to tell my parents I have a boyfriend? It was a stupid idea.
We were almost there now, and I was getting even more nervous. Alex must have noticed because he was staring worriedly at me.
"Sasha, please don't be nervous" Alex said reasuringly
"I can't help it Alex, you know what my parents are like" I whispered, blinking back the tears
"Hmm," he agreed "anyway, how about I give you a piggy back, would that help?" I nodded, a small smile forming on my lips, he always knew how to cheer me up. I jumped up on his back and burried my face in his hair, trying to stop the tears. We were getting closer to my house now, and I was half expecting my dad to be off his face on drugs and mum to be drunk, as always.
As we came upoutside my house, I jumped off off Alex's back and took his hand for reasurrance. I opened the door to hear mum and dad arguing. What a surprise.
"M-mum, dad?" I whispered, nervously
"What do you want now?!" Mum shouted at me
"Just leave us alone, Sasha!" dad said angrily
"Mr and mrs Main, Sasha has some news for you" Alex said, confidently.
"Oh yeah? What's that then?" Dad asked, looking Alex up and down.
"Alex is my boyfriend" I said confidently
"That's nice, sweetheart" Wait. Was dad being nice? "At least we don't have to worry about him taking your virginity" He added with a smirk. Of course he wasn't being nice, he never was.
I started crying and ran up to my bedroom, with Alex running after me. Alex already knew that my dad raped me 2 years ago, he's the only person I've told. I fell on my bed and burried my head in my hands, Alex ast next to me and put his arm around me, I started sobbing into his chest as he did his best to comfort me.
Soon enough, I cried myself to sleep in Alex's arms.
