Fated Trips Across the Oceans

I woke up and looked around my room, it looked the same and I liked that. Smiling I rolled over on top of Jai’s back. He groaned. “Come on, Babe. Waffles, time to get up.” I said patting his back. He rolled over suddenly causing me to fall off the bed and crash to the floor but on the way down hitting my arm on the night table. “Dick.” I said holding my upper arm. “Sorry, you had it coming though.” He said getting up. I rolled my eyes and stood up heading over to my dresser. I looked through my clothes and found something to wear.

“So it’s a Batman kind of day.” Jai said coming out of my closet all dressed. “Yep, now stop staring at me.” I said pulling on my shorts and shirt over my Batman bra and underwear. He laid across my bed. I finished and put on some make-up. Sitting down on the side of the bed next to Jai I slipped on my shoes and socks. “Ready?” I asked. He sat up and I headed over to my door. I opened it and headed down stairs. I jumped the last two steps and ran around the corner into the living room. “Is it just you two up?” I asked Vinny and Matt. “Yeah, the others are still sleeping.” Matt said. I tossed him the T.V. remote. “Well, no for long.” I said and headed back up stairs.

I walked through to the guest room and Zack and Rian were still sleeping. “Boys.” I said stepping in. Zack sat up a little and looked at me. “Yeah, you two. Time to get up, or I’m gonna leave without you.” I said and Rian rolled over. “This bed is so comfy.” He said. I laughed and headed over to the other side. “Come on, I want waffles.” I said shaking him. He giggled and smiled at me. “Alright, we’re getting up. Geez.” I smiled and left the room heading down the hall a little to Jai’s room. I opened the door and could see Alex and Jack. Jack was sleeping a little sideways and Alex had his right arm and right leg hanging off the bed.

I entered and looked at them. “Jack, Alex. Come on, breakfast.” I said getting close to Jack’s side. “Guys-” I was cut off by Jack jumping forward and pulling me into the bed. I was now in the middle with Jack laying across my chest. “Really?” I asked. “I missed you, who was I supposed to watch The Nightmare before Christmas with.” He said snuggling closer. Alex rolled over and wrapped his arms around my waist. “Yeah, who was I supposed to use to listen to my ideas and say whether they’re good or not.” Alex added. “Sorry, but I’m here now so come on, Waffles.” I said patting both of them. “That means let go, gentlemen.” I said sitting up.

“Ok.” Alex said and letting go. I rolled over Jack and got out of the bed. “I’ll be down stairs.” I said and left the room. Instead of going down stairs I went to my room and closed my door behind me. I slid down the door and pushed my head against the wall. This is gonna be harder than I thought. I missed them, I really missed them. A knock came on my door. I stood up and opened the door. “Hey, you comin down?” Jai asked pointing towards the stairs. I ran over grabbing my phone and wallet. “Yeah.” I said and followed him down the steps. I made it to the bottom and couldn’t help but smile seeing my boys.

I made it to the bottom and followed them outside then locked the house. I turned around and there stood Alex. “Hey.” He said. I smiled and took his out stretched hand. “You know I missed you guys too.” I said as we walked towards my car. “I actually probably missed you guys more than you missed me. I almost came back a couple times.” I said as we got closer to my car. “I doubt that, but why didn’t you come back?” He asked. I turned to look at him. “I needed to do some things for me.” We made it to my car. “If someone wants to ride but someone’s gonna have to follow me.” I said getting into my car. “I’ll ride.” Jack said climbing in the back seat, Rian followed him into the back seat and Jai was in the front seat. I pulled out of the complex and down the road.

We headed down the road a little ways then I turned to Jai. “Are the guys gonna meet us there? I completely forgot.” I said as Jai pushed his hands to his face. “Yeah, we set that up for today.” Jai said. “Shit.” I said and looked ahead. “Set what up, what are you talking about?” Rian asked. Jai turned to face them. “Our band, we were gonna meet up and talk about the upcoming tour our label wants us to do.” I sunk in my seat a little and pulled up to the place. I quickly got out of the car and heard my name called. I quickly turned around and two boys ran full force at me causing me to crash to the ground.

They laid atop of my body. “Fucking Christ you guys, lay off the cheese burgers.” I said and Will stood up holding out his hand. I stood up and brushed off my shorts and the back of my shirt. “Sorry, we missed you.” Luke said. I fluffed his hair. “I saw you guys the day before last.” “So, were excited.” Will said bouncing around. I laughed and up came the rest of the guys. Will ran over and jumped on Jai’s back. “Next time a warning, lard ass.” Jai shouted. “So a band?” Jack asked walking up and stopping next to me. “Yeah, it’s been in the make for about 2 years.” I said stepping forward.

“Alright Alex, Matt, Vinny, Zack, Jack, and Rian. These are my band mates Luke and Will.” They each waved, and Will jumped from Jai’s back to shake their hands. Will came over to me. “You realize you just introduced us to all Time Low right?” He asked. I giggled. “Yeah, Matt is my brother. I’ve known them since I was little.” His mouth hung open and he punched my arm right where I hit it this morning. “Ow, Bitch.” I said rubbing my arm. “That hurt, It hit that this morning.” I complained. “What did you do fall out of your bed?” Luke said. “No...Yes,” He and Will started to laugh and Jai tried to hold his in. “But it wasn’t my fault. I was pushed.” I said pointing to Jai.

“Liar.” I scoffed and headed towards the doors of the restaurant. I entered and the woman looked at me. “How many?” She asked. “Well...10.” Her eyes went a little wide. “Is a table outside ok?” I nodded. “Follow me.” She said. I turned around to see if anyone was inside. Just Zack so I grabbed his hand and pulled him with me. We got outside and sat down. “So what does everyone do in the band?” He asked putting down the menu, that’s when everyone else joined us outside. “Will is the Rhythm Guitar and Luke plays the drums,” Rian held out his fist and he and Luke bumped fists. “And then Jai is Lead guitar.” “So what do you do?” Alex asked. “Well, I play the Bass and sing.”

“You play Bass?” Zack asked. I nodded. “I knew you liked me the best.” I smiled. “But of course.” I said laughing. “Rude.” Jack said down at the end. “Don’t even, you know I don’t pick favorites.” I said. “Yeah sure, we all know who’s your favorite.” Luke said as Jai slid down in his seat. “That’s different when you live with someone, you create a bond.” I added as a woman came up to take our order. We all ordered and got our drinks. “So what do you call this band?” Matt asked. “The Fallen.” Luke said. Then our food arrived. Then Luke looked down at me. “So what do we do about touring?” I looked back at him. “What about it?” I asked stuffing a piece of waffle in my face. “We still don’t have a headliner.” He said. “Well, after this tour we don’t have anything lined up. Do you wanna do a tour with us?” Alex suggested and before I could say anything Will did. “Yes!” We all turned to look at him. “I mean yeah why not.” “Wow, you just blew your cover.” I said laughing taking another bite of food.

“Shut it.” He said. “Cover?” Jack asked. “Paige Elizabeth.” Will warned. “William,” I said and looked towards Jack. “You’re his favorite band, and you, Jack, are his favorite guitar player.” “Paige, I will staple your finger tips together, shut up.” Will’s face was red. Jack leaned over and kissed his cheek. “That’s so sweet.” He said dramatically. I couldn’t help but laugh and snort in the process. “So what do you say, Matt, oh brother of mine? You wanna tour with The Fallen? I can have my manager call you.” I said and pulled out my phone. Getting up I pushed the call button and dialed James. I headed around the corner and waited for him to pick up.

James: Yes, Lady. Have you finally decided to take me up on my offer.
Me: No, James but I did find us a headliner.
James: Who?
Me: All Time Low.
James: How did you pull that off?
Me: Their manager, Matt, is my older brother. They’re also my friends.
James: Where are you, I gotta talk to you and the guys about tour.
Me: The Waffle hut.
James: Be there in a few.
Me: Alright.

I hung up and walked back over to the table. “So what did Crazy say?” Will asked as I sat down. “He’ll be here in a few.” I said taking another bite of my waffle. “Crazy?” Vinny asked. “Yeah, this guy is a little strange-” “Nice, but strange.” Will interupted Jai. “How so?” Vinny continued. “He asks Paige out every time we get together, he has a serious crush on her.” Luke said laughing. I scowled at him as he laughed. “Haha, so funny. It’s weird.” “Then why put up with it?” Alex asked. “I like James, he’s cool and he knows what he’s doing. And I mean I did sort of drag him on when I first moved here so.” I said finishing my waffle.

Shortly James arrived and we narrowed down all the details about our tour and Matt got on the phone with Hopeless and James our record company. We had it all sorted out before we left the restaurant. We left the building and met out by our cars. “Gah! 3 weeks!!!” I yelled. “It’ll be nice going back to the states.” I said unlocking my car. I turned around and ran straight for Matt, pulling him into a hug. “Thank you so much.” I said next to his ear. “You’re welcome.” I smiled and pulled away. Then I ran over to Rian and Zack and gave them hugs followed by Jack and Alex. “I’ll see you guys in 3 weeks.” I said smiling before Jai and I got into my car and left, heading back towards the house.
