Jack POV

I watched the two leave the building and went back to my chair behind the reception desk. Sigh. Alex was so cute. He blushed all the time and it was obvious that he felt self conscious about it but that made him only cuter. I really wanted to get to know him better.

Clara, my co-worker here, entered the room. She was a short, small girl but fiercer than many guys I knew. She wore boy-clothes to work, baggy jeans, oversized tees; but if she wanted, she would look like a bomb in a dress. Her hair was a reddish blonde and her eyes were blue and piercing.

“Hi Jack, what’s up? I saw you with some really cute guy,” she greeted me. I had to smile.
“Yeah, that was Alex. He came to take Baz for a walk.”

“I’ve never seen him before…?”

“He was here for the first time today,” I explained.

“You have such a dreamy look on your face… Are you having a cru-hush?” she teased me, wiggling her eyebrows.

“No,” I huffed.

“Oh, I think you do,” she laughed. “You should ask him out, he looks like he was interested in you,” she added.

“I don’t know,” I replied grumpily.

“You should… Just a little coffee in a small coffee shop nearby…”

“No!”

“Please… Pretty please… You two would be so cute together!”

“Oh my god if you stop annoying me if I ask him out then OKAY,” I finally gave in. She did a little victory dance and I had to laugh, it looked like a duck was wiggling its butt while turning in a circle.

“Do it when you are back and if you don’t, you got a problem,” she said as she left. I nodded.
“Yes m’aam!”
