A Dark Love To Hold

The sun is slowly making it's appearance out in the horizon. I'll never get tired of the sight as well as the moon at night. I opened the balcony door, the air hitting my face slightly. It's been quiet awhile since I last did this. In one brisk movement I remove my shirt, my wings becoming free. Am positive no one will see me considering since it's too early for any human to be awake at this hour. I drop my shirt taking a sprint out of the balcony onto the air. God how I love flying out in the open. Free of thoughts, problems, and my own mind. I was deep in thought that I didn't see a crow flying where I'm at. I slow down a bit and extend my arm,to which the bird lands. Ironic really, were creatures of beauty. Sadly no one has the same views. The crow makes a deep squawk and turns to the now rising Sun.
"Shit.", I extended my arm outward signalling the bird to fly away. I quickly I turn around and fly home. When I do, I land gracefully folding my wings in the process.
"I take it that your nervous about starting this job of yours. You know it's not to late to change your mind.", he was tuning my guitar I had.
"No why would you assume that Ricky?", I opened my closet door and took out a grey button up shirt, a black suit,socks,and my grey oxfords. Quickly I began to change and slightly fix my hair. I turn only to find Ricky near the balcony door.
"Knowing your answer, Chris has sent in some help.", he extended his arm and the very same crow I've seen lands on his arm. "This is rian, he can transform into human so you don't have to worry about communication. He obeys all orders you give him and won't give any trouble."
I doubt a bird would help me but then again chris did sent for it,just for me. I nod at the bird and go down stairs to the kitchen, getting a glass of water. Getting my tablets from the cabinet, I drop about four into the water and waiting for it to dissolve. Since I'll be around a bunch of humans, it will be better if I drink my tablets then to eat normal food. I drink it while I walk to the living room.
"Look Alex I don't want you to think we don't trust you, it's just that we have to take some precautions.", Ricky said still having the cr-rian on his arm.
"Yes am well aware. Look don't worry Ricky, you and Chris taught me well for situations like this. Now I have rian here to help me",I smile at him then to rian who flew to me. I chuckle as he landed on my shoulder. Ricky looks at me with a slight frown and sighs in defeat.
"Ill tell Chris then. I never told you but am very proud of you and I know Chris and jessica are as well.", he smiles and glances at the clock.
"You should go before your late.",and with that Ricky hugs me and leaves. I get my bag ready and make sure I had the necessary materials I need for class. I walk out of my house locking it and get into my car, rian being close behind me. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that they worry for me but it's frustrating at times. I haven't been around humans for an extended period of time and I realize that just maybe chris is right. What if,at some point, I lose control? My monster surfacing. Chasing its food supply,ripping of their body limb from limb, and feeding on it? Many innocent lives at risk all because of me? Before I can question further, I drive up to the teachers/staff parking. I take a minute to calm down and I open the door taking everything with me. All these bitter scents hitting my nose,which is sensitive. I hold as much as my breath as I can and walk into the building.
"This is going to be a long day...", I murmured to self, realising that Ricky and Chris where in fact right.
