"All that happened just by trying to make me breakfast?" I asked.

"Y-yes...." Alex responded. I could see he was embarrassed but I thought this was cute.

"And you kept trying?"

"Yes..." Alex spoke shyly. He's amazing, I can't believe he'd try this hard just for me.

Alex nodded & held my hand, with his other still on the steering wheel.

"Yea babe. How about you pick?" Alex asked, looking over for just a second to smile at me, then looking back at the road.

"Thank you, lex. How about the park? I love parks!" I said.

"The one with the animals?" Alex asked, smiling.

"Yes!" I said.

Alex drove in direction of the park & I was starting to get excited. I really do love parks. Especially the one with animals. After a fifteen minute drive, we were finally at the park. We got out of the car, hand in hand. We walked through the main entrance, we each need to pay five dollars to get in. Alex pays for us & we walk inside. I look down at the beautifully growing, green grass beneath our feet, taking in a big breath, enjoying the fresh air.

The sun is out & shining, shade beneath the trees around us, & beautiful peacocks roaming around peacefully while kids laugh & play. Yes, peacocks. This park has tons of them just free on the grass & trees. That's why I love it here, I get to see the amazing animals. There are horses, chickens, little cute & fluffy sheep, some goats, & even ducks. It was great coming here.

The animals were happy, the people were happy to see them, & there'd be a guy occasionally selling ice cream. There were also houses around, inside. You could go inside for water & fruit. There was even WiFi, which made this park all the more special & different. It's a really big park. There's even a wishing well.

"Jacky, let's go look at the ducks by the lake!" Alex yelled all happy. God, he's adorable. I followed him & we sat by the big lake, watching the many ducks swim around & eat the bread people were feeding them. Some geese came up behind us & I got really scared. These things bite you no matter what you do. As long as you have food, you're okay. But we didn't bring any.

"I'm sorry, Jacky. Please, forgive me?" Alex asked. I smiled a bit & pulled him in for a kiss.

"Fine. But it really hurt, babe." I spoke.

"Let me see."

I lifted up my shirt & revealed a purple bruise. "See!" I yelled, pointing to it.

"Shit, babe. That goose got you good." Alex spoke. We explore the rest of the park & animals. We got to the wishing well & I ran for it. I took out a penny I had in my pocket, thank god. I made a wish & threw the penny inside, creating a small splash when it hit the water. Alex came up behind me.

"I only got a paper clip. Worth a try." Alex shrugged, closed his eyes & threw the paper clip into the well. I wonder what he wished for.

"If I told you, it wouldn't come true." I said with a smirk. Alex laughed & we headed towards the man selling the ice cream.

"So Jack, you enjoying yourself today?" Alex asked, holding my hand.

"Yea! Thank you, lex! I love you." I kissed Alex on the lips & he asked me a question once I pulled away. We were just walking through the park.

"Jack, why didn't you want to go to the aquarium?" Alex asked. I quickly tried to search for an answer. I can't tell him. I can't.

"Eh...just not a big fan of fish, I guess." I lied. I love fish! I just don't think I can go back to another aquarium ever again.

"....kay." That's all Alex said. Kay. Kay? What does he mean, just kay?

"Where?" I asked.


"Lunch. We're eating at Taco Bell."

"I love that." I laughed & he smiled at me. We left the park & got back in his car. Once we got to Taco Bell, we ate quickly & Alex wanted to head back home for movies. We got back to his place & he surprised me.

"HOME ALONE?!" I screamed in excitement as I saw what movie we were watching.

"Yea, baby. I think the man I love, deserves to watch his favorite movie." Alex laughed a bit & I froze. I smiled the biggest I've ever smiled before & Alex was a bit confused.
