the Prince and the Punk

Don't Forget, We've Got Unfinished Business

The club was compensating for it's overall quietness last night, by being crowded tonight. He mixes a fruity drink for some blond girl in a tight dress, than turns around and has to pour shots for a few bulky college aged dudes. So far there were no more questions on if he was the person on the front of the tabloid, which was okay. He figured that he would be able to handle the night if there weren't anymore.

A shady looking man with sunglasses and his hood on beckons Jack over. "What can I get you?" Jack asks, eyeing the man suspiciously.

The man tugs his hood off and Jack can see his face a little better. Instantly Jack's brow furrows and the corner's of his mouth tug downwards. "What the fuck are you doing here? I 86'd you last night, that means I don't want you here while I am working."

Alex sighs and brings his hands up to rub his temples. He starts to speak, but Jack moves to serve someone else before he can say anything. Alex frowns and brings his hood back up over his head when he hears someone says something about how they think they recognize him.

"What are you still doing here?" Jack growls, noticing Alex was still seated at the bar.

"Listen," Alex says quickly. "Just let me plead my case to you. I really am sorry."

Jack rolls his eyes. "Fine, I'll get Rian to cover me for a few minutes. But it better be fucking good, dick." Jack sends a text to Rian, and in a few moments, Rian has a playlist going and is making his way across the floor to the bar. "Thanks man, I'll literally be right back." Jack steps out from behind the bar and grabs Alex roughly, pulling him off the bar stool. Alex moves toward the front door and Jack mumbles something along the lines of, "No. We're going out the back."

"Okay," Alex breaths, adjusting his sunglasses despite the fact it was dark outside.
"Get on with it," Jack snaps.

"Well, first of all, I wanted to say I am sorry about last night. I was drunk and fucked up, my friend gave me some really good stuff for when I got off of tour . . ." Alex trails off, realizing that Jack probably didn't care about that. "And you don't seem like a complete douche, so I wanted to at least introduce myself like a human being. I don't even know your name."

"Douche? Says the man wearing sun glasses in the middle of the fucking night," Jack snorts. Usually he could forgive some one relatively easy, but when you have your face plastered on magazines that go all over the country, you can't help but be a little upset.

Jack assumes Alex rolls his eyes, but he ignores the comment and sticks out his hand. "I'm Alex. What is your name?"

Jack huffs and shakes Alex's hand as he introduces himself. "I'm Jack."

"Well it's nice to meet you Jack, I look forward to getting to know you." Alex pulls a slip of paper from his jacket pocket and hands it to Jack. "Call me or something when you get the chance."

Jack stuffs it into his pocket, and turns on his heel. "Okay, whatever."

"Uh, bye Jack!" Alex waves and turns around and walks out of the back alleyway.

Jack had no intention of calling or texting Alex. In fact, he honestly didn't want to see him ever again, if that was possible. Jack returns to his job, glad that Alex was out of his hair, glad that he probably wouldn't grace anymore tabloid covers, and most of all glad that in a few hours he would get to come home and sleep.

Jack exits the bar through the front door and precisely two thirty in the morning, worn out and a little woozy from the after work drinks he had made himself and Rian. He practically falls over when a light flashes, and someone starts asking him rapid fire questions. He blinks away the bleariness, and instantly feels himself sober up some.

"No comment," he says simply, before running off.

He had thought he'd seen the last of that, and of course he was dead wrong.

Notes

Hey, an update!
Then look forward to a four day expanse without updates because of school.
Ew. I just realized I have P.E. This semester. Break my legs so I don't have to go. Cx
