the Prince and the Punk

Alex woke up wrapped tightly in the embrace of Jack. That man was like a furnace when he slept, Alex could already feel sweat forming on the back of his neck. He shifts and wriggles, but Jack's grip only cements harder as he unconciously adjusts to Alex's movements. Alex sighs and makes himself as comfortable as he can get, hoping that Jack will eventually let go so he can go make breakfast.

After a few minutes, Jack's grip slackens enough for Aex to get up. He bounces to the kitchen, far too happy for someone who had just woken up. Some people are jus tmorning people . . . He opens his fridge, looking at what he had. There really wans't much. Of course, if he could go shopping without having to dodge papparazzi and sign fifty autographs, he might keep his kitchen better stocked.

He finds what was left of the eggs and cheese and throws together a simple breakfast: omlettes, toast, and orange juice. The smell seemed to have drawn Jack form the room because when Alex turned around to set silverware on the table, Jack was sitting at one of the chairs nibbling at the toast.

"Good morning Jacky," Alex greats, handing Jack the silverware and sitting at the other spot.

"G'morning," Jack mumbles, his voicestill rough and gravelly seeing as he had only woken up a few minutes ago. Jack tears into he meal, practically inhaling it all in a few bites.
Alex, however, eats slowly enjoying the meal. "You're gonna choke yourself or something if you keep eating like that," Alex teases, moving the eggs around with his fork.

"And your food is going to get cold if you keep eating like that," Jack challenges defiantly.

Alex laguhs and finsihes his food before taking both of their plates and other things ot the dishwasher. He sticks them in and starts it. "So, Jack. Would you care to go grocery shopping with me today? I mean, it's no date but my cupboards are getting pretty bare."

"Sure," Jack agrees lazily.

Alex tugs the hood of his jacket over his head. Shopping was always an overly complicated task. He had tried everything from shopping in the middle of the night to shopping in the smallest store he could find. None of it ever worked. So, he simply picked some time in the evening and hoped for the best as he hurried into the usually dead Walmart. Jack follows after him briskly with the cart.

Alex leads Jack through all the key food points of the store. Produce, frozen goods, canned, dairy, junk. The cart is pretty full by the time they find themselves wandering toward the check out. However, Jack, being the fidgety soul he was easily got off track, instead finding interest in the display set up for Alex's most recent CD.

"Lex, you should let me take a picture of you with cardboard you!" Jack says bouncing lightly. Alex rolls his eyes, but agrees and poses next to the cut out. "Okay, smile big!" Alex smiles and Jack snaps the picture on his phone, smiling down atthe finished product.

"Okay, now I have to get a picture of you with it to put on the interweb," Alex says, smiling lightly as Jack instantly goes to ham it up with a silly face and bunny ears. Alex taps the button and quickly posts it to his Instagram with some dopey caption. He lets out a little huff that he quickly follows with a smile. "Okay, let's get out of here."
