the Prince and the Punk

Livin' in the Radio

"You should come out with me Jacky," Alex presses. "I'm just going to the studio to work on music, and you can help and stuff!"

"No," Jack answer definitely. It's not that he wouldn't mind going out with Alex, he just really hated Alex being ambushed every time he went outside. Since they had made it "official" nobody wanted to leave them alone, and Jack was incredibly annoyed by this. It made him want to leave his house less than he already did, he hadn't even went to Rian's in a week.

"Please?" Alex looks at Jack, his eyes pleading. Jack can't help but melt as he stared into the deep brown portals. "You even get to meet my manage, Zack," Alex continues to plead even though Jack had alreay broke.

"Fine."

Alex jumps up and bounces excitedly. "Yay! You'll like it!" Alex wraps his arms are around Jack's shoulder and presses his lips to Jack's lightly before pulling away with a blush. They had yet to share in a kiss any longer than that without breaking apart awkwardly and not daring to get close again. Rian has described it as "the gayest thing has had seen in his entire fucking life" to Jack at one point.

"Whatever," Jack mumbles, standing up and crossing the room to grab his leather jacket off the hook. He slips it over his shoulders and looks around to see where Alex had bounced off to. He was even more childish than Jack ever thought he was. if you even turned your back on him for more than a minute he'd most likely get himself into trouble. Alex, as if on queue comes around the corner from Jack's kitchen, babbling into his cellphone happily.

"Okay, bye, see you in a bit!" Alex clicks the end button and returns his phone to his jean pocket. "My chauffeur is coming to pick us up," Alex informs Jack sing songily.

"Okay . . . ?" Jack says, moving back to sit on the couch. Alex sits next to him, nuzzling into Jack with a dopey grin on his face. They didn't have to talk, they simply just sat there and cuddled like the ridiculously adorable couple they were.

Alex's phone buzzes and looks at it to find that his chauffeur was waiting outside at the moment. He texted a quick response before swiftly standing up and taking Jack's hand, pulling him out of the apartment and downstairs in a whirl. Alex's jeep was on the curb, rumbling as it waited. Alex drops Jack's hand and opens the door for the other man.

"After you," he jokes, using the British accent that had once come natural to him.

"Thank you sir," Jack jokes back, sliding into a seat.

"You're welcome madam," Alex responds, offering a cheeky grin.

Jack gives him an unimpressed look. "Screw you 'lex."

"Only if you want to." Alex wiggles his eyebrows suggestively.

Jack can't help but the break down laughing, and the laughter is obviously infectious because Alex laughs too, doubling over and clutching his stomach as he laughs at the dumb humor. "You're on a roll Gaskarth," Jack manages through his laughter. Finally they stop their giggling and buckle in, ready for their ride to Alex's studio on the other side of town.

"Shit." Jack wipes a tear from the corner of his eye. "That was beautiful."

"It was, wasn't it?" Alex smiles proudly. They fall into a comfortable silence, the sound of the radio from the front of the car providing the background the the ride.

"Hey, you're listening to Kyle King all the way from the entertainment capitol of the world," the radio host sounds. "I recently caught up with Alex Gaskarth to find out the dets on this juicy new relationship of his, let's have a listen."

Jack shoot Alex a look. "I told you about this interview earlier," Alex responds simply.

"So, Alex, your recent relationship with a bartender has caught the eye of the media recently. Tell us about that."

Alex's cute awkward chuckle is heard, only it's not from the physical Alex beside Jack, it's from the radio. "Jack is really perfect. He's honestly the first person I think I've ever had these feelings for," Radio Alex's voice sounds distant and dreamy. "I know it's only been like a week, but I feel like something's there. Y'know?"

The host chuckles. "I think I do Alex. Now tell us, exactly how did it go from the strictly hate relationship to what it is now?"

"I don't honestly know," Alex answers. "It kind of just happened. We bumped into eachother after all the shit, and it kind of just happened from there."

The interview continues on, but Jack can't help but contain a cheesy grin at Alex. ALex smiles back and leans over to kiss Jack. It was brief, but perfect.
