KAY
I woke up the next morning and rolled over, only to find that Jack was already up. With an annoyed grunt, I rolled over to his pillow and inhaled the smell of his shampoo and cologne. I felt a lazy smile creep across my face. I lifted my hand to brush my bangs out of my eyes, when I saw something yellow stuck to the back of my hand. It was a sticky note, with Jack's messy handwriting scrawled across it in black ink.
"Pancakes await you." And below it, was a drawing of the mentioned food. I grinned and got out of the bed, pulling my panties from last night and one of Jack's tee shirts. I walked out into the main area of the apartment to see Jack sitting at the small kitchen table, a plate of amazing-smelling pancakes sitting across from him.
"Good morning, you." He smiled, standing up.
"Morning." I said with a yawn.
"Coffee?" He asked, grabbing a cup from the cabinet.
"Always." I said, standing on my toes to kiss him.
"Go eat, I'll bring you the coffee." He said.
I walked over to the little table and sat down. I grinned when I realized what he had done. The pancakes were exactly the way I liked them. Small enough to dip them into a bowl of syrup. I know, I'm odd. Forks are for normal people. I picked up the top one and dipped it into the syrup, taking a bite and humming softly as I tasted the sweetness.
"These are really good, babe." I said as he sat down, settin the coffee infront of me.
"Thanks. I had a few already." He admitted with a sheepish grin.
"So. What brought this on?"
"Well, I have a big day planned for us. So you need to eat!"
"What are we doing?" I asked, already excited.
"Just eat, you'll find out soon enough."
"Okay..." I muttered, picking up the next pancake. We carried on a normal conversation, until I was down to the third pancake. I picked it up, and on the surface of the plate was two slips of paper.
"Jack. What's this?" I whispered, picking them up and reading them as I sipped my coffee. American Airlines, nonstop to St. Louis.
"I'm taking you to go get your stuff. You're officially moving in, Kay."
"Jack! Oh my gosh! This is awesome!" I exclaimed, nearly choking on my coffee.
"We need to go get ready to leave, we have to be at the airport in two hours."
I stood up from the table and put my dishes in the sink. "I need to shower, then."
"I'll join you." He smirked, grabbing my hand and leading me to the bathroom.
Within an hour, we had both finished getting ready to leave and had packed our bags. Zipping up my suitcase, I asked, "So, why are we going to be there a week? It isn't going to take that long to get my stuff. I don't have that much."
"Let's just say that I have a few more surprises in store." Jack said with a wink.
"Okay, be mysterious then." I smirked, planting a kiss on his cheek.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked, picking up my suitcase for me.
"If you are, I am." I smiled, picking by backpack and slinging it over my shoulder.

So, kind of a filler chapter here. I'm sorry for that. I've been overwhelmed with school and volleyball tournaments and sometimes I just have no motivation to do anything because of my depression. So if I seem like I'm not writing, it's probably because of one of those three things. But I going to make things up to you guys! I have some really awesome ideas on how to finish this story out. Oh, I also want to thank you guys. This story is at 1,029 reads as of March 3rd at 10:02 PM. That is A M A Z I N G. I didn't think one person would read this story when I started it, and now I have 1,029 reads. I love you guys, you're all great. So thank you, so much.
