You Have My Heart, At Least For The Most Part

I was walking through the school halls two hours later because I had forgotten something when I saw a figure laying on the floor. I walked faster, and kneeling beside it, I realised it was Alex.

"Alex? Alex!" I shouted, shaking his arm. He was trembling, he had tears in his eyes and his breath was faster than usual. "I'm going to take you to my car, okay?" I said, even though I doubted he could hear me. I picked him up and carried him bridal style to my car. I layed him gently in my backseat, his head on my lap. For a second, this felt right.

"He'll hate me now..." He mumbled, sobbing.

"Shhh, it's okay Alex." I whispered. I held him onto my chest, and played with his hair, trying to comfort him.


Half an hour later, he opened his eyes, and locked with mine instantly.

"J-jack?" He said, blushing.

"Hi Alex." I smiled. "I found you laying on the school halls, and I couldn't leave you there."

"T-thank you..." He answered.

"What happened to you? Did someone beat you? Please tell me no o-"

"No, Mr. Barakat, no one punched me or something like that. I had a very awful panic attack, that's all."

"Shit! What can I do for you? Do you want to go to my house or something? Maybe buy some coffee? I don't usually take people to buy coffee b-"

He laughed, cutting me off. "It's okay, seriously. Do you mind taking me to my house?"

"No, not at all." He sat and I went to the drivers seat, following his instructions of how to get to his house.

When we arrived, he smiled to me widely, thanked me a million times, and then ran to the door, where a brown haired woman hugged led him in. I smiled, turned on my car, and went to my house.
