Alex POV

It was V-Day. I had found a nice something and I was very excited about it. It had cost me not much but I had been lucky to find it for this cheap.

I woke up to the smell of something sweet and baked. The bed didn’t contain Jack and it was cold so he probably left quite a bit ago. I sighed and slowly got myself out of bed. I got up and dressed. Time to look through the flat for Jack.

Nothing in the bathroom. Neither in the living room. Kitchen it would be. And there he was, smiling widely at me, holding a beautiful cake with pink frosting on white cream.

“Good morning Lex! Happy Valentine’s Day,” Jack said. He put down the cake to kiss me and his soft lips tasted slightly sweet.

“Hi Jay. Thank you so much, it looks amazing,” I exclaimed, looking at the cake. I hugged him tightly.

“I’m just going to get your thing.” Jack made some kind of suppressed squealing noise. Adorbs. I quickly got into my bedroom and opened the closet. I took out a big bag with a specific shape and went into the kitchen again. I watched as he unpacked it and how he sat there like mesmerized. I smiled to myself.

“You like it?”

“I… I have no words. Wow,” Jack replied, a huge smile forming on his face. He sat down and cradled the guitar in his arms and played a few chords. It was tuned already and he got lost in the music quickly. I watched him as he closed his eyes and hummed some tunes.

He played a few things before he got up and looked at me with teary eyes.

“Thank you so much Lex. It’s amazing, you didn’t have to pay a fortune for today though,” he said softly.

“Don’t worry about the price, I have my connections,” I reassured him. “I’m glad you like it,” I added. He kissed me and sent sparks through my body.

“Okay Jack, I thought we should talk about you staying here,” I said. His face fell.

“Yeah, I thought about that too, I’ll leave anytime if you want me to.”

“On the contrary, Jay. I wanted to ask you if you wanted to officially live with me as my boyfriend,” I said with a smile. He looked confused at first but then he realized what was going on.

“Oh, Alex! Are you sure I’m not inconveniencing you?” he asked insecurely.

“I am. So, Jack Barakat, would you like to live with me?” I asked solemnly.

“I’d love to,” he whispered, eyes filling with tears. “I love you so much,” he said before coming towards me to kiss me. It was a long, passionate and sweet kiss. I held him tightly afterwards.

“Welcome to my flat,” I whispered happily. He pulled me closer.

A little later, Jack gave me some of the cake. It was delicious, chocolate with cream on top. I loved it and could barely stop eating.

“Seeing as it is a rainy day today, how about some movies?” Jack suggested with a sly grin. I agreed, not quite sure why he was grinning so much though.

“So I have this new series that sounds cool,” he explained.

“Oh my god yes, please show me,” I said excitedly.

“It’s about paranormal activities happening and the FBI investigates,” Jack summarized. “It’s called Fringe.”

“Let’s get started then!”

I made us hot chocolate and popcorn. Jack prepared the TV and finally, we snuggled under the covers of the couch and pressed play.

It was actually quite scary at some points and Jack pressed himself against me, whimpering at times. I felt my heart grow even bigger with love for him as I protected and soothed him.

We watched almost all of season one in just a day. I stopped when Jack had fallen asleep, snoring quietly. I pulled up the blanket until he was well-covered. I pressed a kiss to his hair and felt my chest glowing warmly with happiness and love.

I'm thinking of doing a time-lapse since I want to move this along a bit. I hope everyone is okay with it because I'm very excited about the time after the jump!

(Also, I do realize that some of you probably expected smut for Valentine's Day. But you already had some in the last chapter and there will still be smut at other points in this story too.)
