We'll take it slow (Alex POV)
Jack POV
When I woke up, it was already 3pm but the sun was not able to shine through the clouds so it looked as if it was later. Alex was awake, holding a tray with two steaming mugs.
“Hello, sleepyhead. I thought I’d make the one thing I’m really good at: hot chocolate,” he said softly. I propped myself up on my elbows and looked at the mugs. He sat down on the bed and handed me one. “Cheers,” he said and we let the mugs bump together. I took my first sip and was transported straight to heaven. It tasted amazing; reminding me of the first hot chocolate we had ever had together, that day at the pizza place.
I looked up at him and smiled. “It’s wonderful,” I said. I made a kissy face and he bent over to give me a peck on the lips. However, I wanted more than just a tiny little peck and brought my hands up to his face, cupping it, holding him here with me. He obliged, kissing me softly.
I continued to drink the cocoa, indulging in its deliciousness. The warmth spread through my belly quickly, making me feel warm and secure.
“Um, Jack… I thought… we should talk about… you know,” Alex said after a while of us sipping peacefully.
“You mean… making love?” I said hesitantly. He nodded.
“I don’t want something like earlier today to happen again, without us knowing each other’s boundaries,” he explained. “Like, we both had no idea how far we could go with the other.”
“Well then…”
“Jack, what I really need you to promise me is that you tell me if you don’t want to do something. I know that you want to make me feel good but you being comfortable is definitely so much more important,” he said seriously. I nodded.
“I promise,” I replied.
“Thank you,” Jack smiled. “So about the thing… I’m slowly getting ready for it,” he added. “What about you?”
I had to think about this for a while. Was I ready? I knew it was going to hurt and I felt insecure because Alex had had sex before. But I also wanted to know how it felt.
“I… I’m not really ready yet? I’m just scared I guess,” I said quietly.
“That’s no problem, you tell me whenever you are ready,” Alex said with a cute smile. I smiled too, relieved. “We’re just going to take it slow,” he promised. “You tell me when you are ready for something new.”
“Thank you so much,” I said, really relieved. He smiled and went in for a little kiss. I kissed him back. And continued to drink my hot chocolate as did he.
