Unicorn Hair

Chapter 3 (part2)

Siting at small round table at the end of room I watched some black woman who was singing some kind of jazz-type song. I had had a one drink and I was in middle with my second one. Yes, I wasn’t drinking as much as yesterday not that I didn’t want to. If I would drink like yesterday or more, then tomorrow mornings Alex would be more than angry to my present me. Hangover is not a good thing to deal with when you need to fuck someone or be fucked.

She finished her third song, small male crowd applauded her, she made small talk with crowd and some drunken guy asked if he could sing with her. Of course, she said yes so he made his way to small stage, few times tripping over his own legs.

“Is this seat taken?” I almost spilled my drink all over me. What the hell was he doing here? I couldn’t make any words to come out of my mouth so I just shook my head and he sat down beside me.

He was wearing black shirt with black jacket over it. He had changed his clothes during the day. Well, obviously he would change. You changed too. You have your new black pants on!

“Soo…today…this was really you?” he asks looking directly in my eyes.

“I guess so.” Today he has more confidence than I do.

“What were you doing in town?”

“Didn’t expect to see me there, huh?” I finish my second drink faster than I would want to.

“Kind of,” he looks at stage where drunken guy has finished his song and black lady is trying to get him off stage. “I know him. He works for my father.” He points to guy on stage.

“He’s pretty often here. Every Wednesday and on Friday nights, like now. Sometimes on other days too. If he had a bad day, I guess.” I add small laugh at end.

“Some of yours….?” He looks at me with questioning look in his eyes.

“No,” I laugh, now more confident with myself, “but that doesn’t mean I hadn’t noticed him.” Small wink is sent to Jack, “but if seriously than I know everyone who comes here. Maybe I don’t know their names and I might mess up the days when they are coming, but I know their faces.”

“Mhm….” Jack stays quiet for a while, looking around before turning back to me, “It’s probably usual thing for you, but I enjoyed last night.”

“I enjoyed it too….and it’s not usual thing for me,” I state quietly and for a moment I think that Jack didn’t hear it, but when I turn my gaze to him I see a small smirk playing on his lips, “whaat?” it sounds more like a whine than I wanted it to sound.

“Nothing. It’s just nice to hear something like that from professional sl…”

“Don’t call me that!” I almost yell at him to make him stop in the middle of his sentence.

“Fine, but isn’t that who you are?”

“Maybe, but…..just don’t call me like that.” I say looking back at stage.

“You want some drink?”

“No, thanks. I think it’s enough for me today.” I answer still looking at stage.

“I’ll go get one for me. You’ll be here?” he asks looking hopefully at me.

“You know, I can get you that drink for free.”

“You don’t need to. I have enough money for one drink.” God, I love his smile.

“Oh, I know you have money, but this one will be as my Thank You for last night,” another wink flies to Jack.I get up from my seat and walk around Jack tracing my fingers on his neck, “what would you like to have?” I whisper in his ear. I feel him shiver slightly under my touch before he chokes out answer.

“The same you had.”

“Nice choice,” I purr in his ear and make my way to bar.

I walk up to bartender and make my order. Making my drink (actually Jack’s drink) he turns his head to where Jack is sitting, “One of yours?”

“I’m free tonight.” I answer without even looking at him.

“So who is he?”

“Technically he is my client, but not tonight.”

“’Cause you’re free tonight.”

“Mhm, so I’m gonna just play with him.”

“You’re gonna play?” he raises his eyebrow setting my drink in front of me.

“Mhm, I’m gonna make him my usual client, so I can have him regularly.”

“Is that even legal?”

“What? Getting new clients?”

He doesn’t answer me, just stares at me.

“None of this is legal so why can’t I add another illegal thing to my list.” I take one sip from drink before I remember that it was for Jack. I wave to bartender and walk back to Jack who has his eyes on me the whole time.

“What were you talking with him?” he asks before I have even reached the table.

“Does it matter?” I put the drink in front of him, but he still looks at me, „What? Are you jealous?” Small smirk finds it way on my lips.

He doesn’t say anything, just takes his drink.

“Okay, if it makes you feel better, we were talking about you,” I scoot closer to him, much more closer, and put my head on his shoulder.

“What about me?” he looks down at me. His lips are so close to me, I can feel his breath against my lips and his eyes are so deep and dark.

“That really doesn’t matter to you. That was personal,” I know I shouldn’t do that but I can’t help myself and it’s too late before I realize that I am leaning closer to his delicious lips. I softly press my lips against his, enjoying the warm feeling and sweet taste of his. He pushes his lips back impatiently licking against mine.

I pull back with a smile, “Remember the rules - don’t be so eager!”

“You’re not working,” he catches my lips in a chaste kiss, before turning his eyes to stage. I frown at him, knowing he’s not looking at me. I didn’t want him to stop kissing me. I let out small sight and put my head back on his shoulder, breathing his scent. I have made it my goal to remember it.

“This was your father, right?”

He looks down at me with questioning look in his beautiful eyes.

“Today, at town.”

“Yeah, that was him.” He returns to stare at stage. Damn it, Jack! What’s so interesting there?! Some black woman is singing some fucking song!

“He wants you to get married.” It doesn’t sound like a question. I’m not sure if I wanted it sound like one.

“Yeah, he wants me to get married, but I don’t want to! I don’t want to get married at all! Not with her, not with some other girl! I don’t want to get married with any girl,” his stare falls from stage and into his half empty glass, “but my choice is impossible…it will never happen.”

“Just don’t marry her. He can’t make you to get married if you don’t want to.”

“You don’t know my father.” He says still staring in his glass.

“Just say no, don’t go to your own wedding. He can’t make you say yes to her. Just say no!” why am I so angry about this situation, “Jack, he can’t get you married against your own will,” I take his face in my hands and make him look in my eyes.

“I don’t want to get married, Alex,” he repeats.

“I know, sweetie, I know,” sweetie? Alex, are you fucking crazy! I’m having huge fight in my mind. If my little brain Alex will survive this fight, then I’ll be able to survive any other war that’s coming.
