Everybody Hurts.

Chapter4

"Here you go" Gray handed Alex his cup of Starbucks coffee goodness as soon as her and Jack walked into the studio. Alex only nodded in response, not once tearing his eyes off the lyrics in front of him.
It was a song Gray wrote a few weeks ago, but wasn't sure if it's even good. So Alex, being Alex, volunteered to check it out and fix it up if needed.
"You're good, but you don't put much emotion into what you write" said Alex taking a sip of his coffee.
Gray nodded. Of course she wouldn't put emotions into any of her songs-not the one's she lets others see anyway.
It's simply hard for her to do that, especially that she's been keeping every aspect of emotion to herself rather than the public eye or even her dad.

"Maybe you should write a fun song" suggested Jack from his spot on the floor, "It doesn't need much emotions" he added, the pair looked at him grinning.
"I think i know what he's talking about" grinned Alex.
"I think i'm gonna love it!" smirked Gray knowing exactly how tonight would go down.

Gray looked at her reflection in the full length mirror standing in her closet and sighed. She should probably try and be good tonight. Especially knowing for a fact that she'd get shitfaced and go home with some guy, then would come home after 3 or maybe 4 in the morning. at 1AM if she gets a hook up as soon as she walks into the building.

She sighed sliding on her black leather jacket, pocketed her phone, money and keys to the house and her car, and walked out.
"How do i look?" smirked Gray as she got to the last step. The guys were ready, and were waiting near the front door.
"Hot" Jack replied immediately, "Lets go then" she smirked and headed out to the car.

As soon as they walked in, she gave Rian the keys to the car, knowing he's the most responsible and reasonable out of them. They already had their sets of keys to the house, so she kept hers with her.

As the night went on, they all drank and danced, having fun, laughing at pretty much everything. After about an hour, she excused herself and headed to the bar. It was time for some personal fun.
Smiling at the bartender, she ordered vodka-coke and sat on one of the stools.
The bar was half full, mostly with pedophiles, and that is simply disgusting.

"Hey there!" someone yelled from behind me. She turned around, and a smirk made it's way to her red lips. She seem to do that a lot when she went out for a crazy night!
The guy standing before her was gorgeous. He had jet black hair in an Ian Somerhalder hair cut, and crystal blue eyes, a model-like jaw line, and a muscular body where you could see his sic-pack through his tight white v-neck.
"Hey yourself" she took a sip from her drink. He sat on the stool next to her, and ordered the same thing.
"What is a pretty girl like you, doing alone in a place like this?" he asked looking over her, his eyes trailing her body, as if studying every detail, he smirked meeting her gaze.
"I'm with my friends actually" she pointed at the table where her four friends were drinking and laughing.
"Oh" disappointment laced his husky voice. "But they're having fun on their own, so i thought why not have my own fun" she smirked.

As the night went on the pair chatted away, flirted at every open chance and drank their night away. She knew just by looking at his eyes that he wasn't like her, he just wanted to get some, she was OK with that, because really. It's the same result whichever way.

Jack found himself shooting glares at the Ian Somerhalder look-a-like that. He didn't know why.
Maybe because Gray looked totally hot tonight, or because they had to keep an eye on her in situations like this-Gloria kind of scared him.
But the feeling in the pit of his stomach told him otherwise. So, being him, he decided to drink away that weird feeling-since he never actually felt something like that- and maybe even find a hook up for the night.

And that's exactly how it all went.

Gray walked barefoot towards the front door, she noticed the car in the drive way which meant that the guys were already home. She bit her lip unlocking the front door and quietly stepping in.
To her surprise, she saw the TV on in the smaller living room, it was weird because usually no one sat there, due to how small it really is.
Curiously she walked over the wooden door frame and peeked inside. Alex was curled up in a ball on the biggest couch, his legs close to his chest and arms wrapped around them, his head was down. A blanket was on the floor, and his phone shattered near the wall closest to the doorway.
Something happened.

"Alex?" her voice was low, when he whimpered, she walked up to him and sat down on the floor in front of him, with her legs folded under her.
"Alex hun, what happened?" she asked, he sniffed in response.
"I'll be right back" she whispered and sprinted up stairs. She quickly put on a pair of old grey sweats and a white tank. Then went into the kitchen and made some hot chocolate in hopes to comfort Alex.

"Lex, move over" she said, he weakly got up, clearly exhausted from all the crying he's done, he has been doing it since they came back at 1AM, three hours ago!
"Here" she handed him a mug of the chocolaty goodness, he smiled weakly at her, even smiling made him want to cry.

They sat in silence for a while. Non of them speaking. He could hear her steady breathing, his eyes trailed off towards his now broken phone.
He felt angry at first and did the first thing he could to make it go away, then he fell to his knees crying.

"Wanna talk about it?" Gray finally broke the comfortable yet choking silence that circled them.
"Lisa broke up with me" he whispered. "Over a fuckin text" he added hissing.
Gray didn't know what to do exactly, but she found herself putting down her mug and pulling Alex closer to her body, involving him in a warm hug.
He didn't protest, only buried his head in the crock of her neck and cuddled up closer to her. he felt some sort of comfort. Not lover comfort. Family comfort, it was homey and warm.
She may not show much emotion, but he felt loved in her warm embrace. It felt nice. Besides, they've grown close over the week they've known each other. They might grow into being best friends, maybe even non-blood-related siblings. Alex liked that thought as he drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
Gray stayed up until she made sure Alex wont wake up crying, then let sleep consume her.

They stayed cuddled up on the cozy beige couch. They didn't even hear Jack walking in two hours later and shooting daggers at them for some odd reason(to him at least) before strolling into his room.

Little did Gray know that this made her put in some emotion into her lyrics.

Notes

I hope you're fine with me using Avril Lavigne songs. Because i actually wrote a few more chapters before hand and they're connected to her songs. Basically Gray is the pop-rock Taylor Swift.
PLEASE RESPOND! i don't wanna do anything you guys wont like.

Hope you like it. COMMENT, VOTE, AND RATE!!!
