I'll Keep A Secret If You Keep Me Guessing

Jack's p.o.v

"You thought you could scape from me, you little piece of shit?!" My father yelled at me, pushing me to the floor.

"N-no... No, sir. I'm sorry!" I mumbled. He started kicking me in my ribs, and shouting the most disgusting things in the world.

Suddenly, we heard a few knocks on the door. My father stopped abruptly, eyes opening widely. I could see the fear in his eyes of being discovered.

"Jack? Jaaaaack?! I know you can hear me!" Alex. My heart raced. Why was he here? Anyways, I was glad he was.

"Oh! It's your little boyfriend coming to rescue you, fag? What will he think if he sees you like this? He will think you're nothing!" He laughed, walking to the backyard, leaving me there.

"Jack! Please, open the damn door!" Alex yelled.

"A-alex... I'm.. I am..." I couldn't talk properly, not even loud, but I hoped that he could hear me.

"What happened?! Stay where you are! Don't move! I'm going to enter through the window, okay?" He said, making me smile a bit. I heard the window crash, a few footsteps, and then I saw him. The concern and a bit of panic were painted on his face. He kneeled beside me, touching my arm gently. "Who did this to you, Jack?" I closed my eyes, shaking my head a little, to make him know I didn't want to talk about it right now. "I have to take you to the hospital. This seems to be quiet a big deal." Alex took out his phone and called an ambulance, then, he put his hands below my body and carried me bridal style to the couch. He disappeared for a few minutes, but then he was sitting beside me and cleaning some blood that was on my back. Then, he started mumbling some sweet things like 'everything's going to be okay', 'I'm here for you', while he rubbed circles on my back.


I opened my eyes, finding a white room and a tall man looking at me.

"Mr. Barakat, how are you feeling?" The man asked.

"I... I don't know. It hurts."

"Where?" he asked.

"Everywhere." I answered. "Where am I?"

"In the hospital." He said, sending me a sad smile. "Your friend is in the waiting room, do you want me to call him for you? I think he's sleeping right now, though." I nodded in agreement and he left the room. The door opened, revealing a very tired looking Alex Gaskarth. He looked stunning anyways.

"Jack!" He said, running beside me and hugging me. I was confused at first, but I decided to enjoy the moment while it lasted. "How are you feeling?"

"Bad. My whole body hurts."

"Jack... I..."

"Yes?"

He avoided eye contact, and he looked hesitant for a moment, but he finally said: "Who did this to you?"
