Bring me home.

I stood with my clipboard before the show started with the list for the meet and greet. As soon as the doors were ready to open Matt buzzed me on my talkie (they had finally found me one) telling me to start letting people through.
"Okay!" I yelled at the VIP line who all jumped to attention, knowing they would meet the band soon. "I need you all to have your I.D and passes ready. I'll let you all through and then I'll get the band. Don't all rush to Alex at once, you have plenty of time and Zack needs love too, guys." I laughed as they cheered and I smiled at the security guard who unlocked the door.
"Where's Matt!" A voice from the crowd yelled and I shouted back that he didn't love them anymore and they were stuck with me. I checked a couple of girls I.D's until Laura was standing before me, beaming.
"Hey, kiddo!" I smiled and pulled her into a hug. "You wanna wait here with me?" She nodded and I got the security guard to lift her over the barricade. I let a couple more kids through until a boy of about fifteen stood and stared at me. "You alright?" I laughed and he nodded, asking if he could have a photo. "Uh, if you find me later, I promise you a photo." The boy beamed as I let him into the venue and watched him run up the stairs shaking my head. Okay, that was weird. I got a coupe more requests for photos and signatures and told every one to just find me after they'd met the band. I shuffled the kids inside and then locked them all in the large room.
"Okay! I'll go get the band but please don't mob them! You'll all get your turn!" I grabbed Laura's hand and pulled her through the kids and out the back door to the dressing room where the guys were playing around. "It's time boys." I wiggled my fingers menacingly and Jack whined and Zack grabbed onto Rian's arm who faked fear by crouching in the corner.
"No! Don't send us in to the mob, Rie!"
"Oh shut up Rian, you love it." Alex stopped by and gave Laura a quick squeeze and promised to see her later as the band filed out the small room and headed for the meet and greet. I unlocked the door and they piled in to the screams of the waiting fans. "Find me when you're done." I smiled at Laura and released her hand as she ran off into the crowd. I made my way over to the table in the corner and perched myself there, laughing as the teenage girls tried to get Alex to kiss them and a few of the older fans actually got kisses of Jack.
"Okay! You guys have fifteen minutes left!" I stood up on my table to make myself heard. "Make sure you've got everyone and stop trying to make out with my boyfriend!" Most of the fans laughed and Alex blew me a kiss while Jack screamed about me stealing his man.
"No way! Alex is my future husband!" A small blonde girl cheered from near Alex and I asked if she wanted a bet. To which Alex slid down on one knee and asked the.. thirteen?... year old if she would marry him. The girl squealed and the Alex jumped to his feet, laughing.
"That's going to be all over YouTube!" I giggled and Alex nodded, beaming. A couple of kids came up to me and asked for photos and I obliged, totally confused by why on earth they wanted me.
"I saw you on one of the really old video logs on YouTube." A red-head grinned at me as I signed her book.
"Really? Those old videos are still floating around?" I laughed and the kid nodded as I snapped a picture of us on their phone. No one fought to get to a band member and a crowd of girls surrounded a slightly uncomfortable Zack. I let them continue harassing him to take off his shirt until it was time to leave and retook my stand on the table.
"Alright! When I said Zack needed love I meant hugs and photos not rape!" The whole room burst out laughing and Jack ran to jump on his friend. "Except Jack, Jack is the exception." I giggled as he planted kisses all over the side of a struggling Zack's face. "The meet and greets over so Matt's going to take you all through to the stage now. Have fun and enjoy your night." I yelled over the talking and pushed the band out of the room, Laura staying hot on my heels.
"Okay, who is this?" Rian cocked his head to one side as we reached side stage to watch We Are The In Crowd open.
"This is Laura." Alex answered and I could tell he was proud he remembered her name. "She's our special guest." He threw her a wink which made her blush and I told her to just stick with me all night.
Half way through All Time Low's set Cassadee joined us and introduced herself to a now shy Laura.
"Are you singing tonight?" She asked me. "Or am I?" I couldn't get my answer out quick enough.
"You. Oh my god, you. That was horrid." Cass giggled and nodded, taking the mic off Danny before he ran the acoustic onstage to Alex. Rian, Zack and Jack joined us side stage as Alex started to strum and I raised an eyebrow as I realized that Zack had taken his mic offstage with him and was on a talkie to Evan. As Alex strummed between verses Zack raised the mic to his lips and yelled.
"Alex has a small penis!" To which everyone side stage collapsed with laughter and Alex murmured "It's true." Into his mic to the howling crowd. Cass ran onstage to save the moment like her caring self and started to sing, the crowd going wild.

"It was great!" Laura bounced across the parking lot towards the parking lot where the bus was. "You were so fantastic!" Alex wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked the excited girl to the rental car Matt was driving around. "Thank you so much!" Alex giggled and patted the girl on the head as he opened the back door for her and slid into the drivers seat. Laura directed us to the foster home she was staying at and we both gasped as we took in the small run down townhouse we stopped outside.
"This is it?" Alex whispered and Laura nodded.
"This is home." She shrugged and started to get out of the car, thanking us again. I shot a look at Alex who jumped out of the car and I followed him, tracing Laura's steps inside.
"How many of you live here?" I asked Laura as she slid a key into the door.
"Uh, there's fifteen kids." Laura looked at the floor and kicked her feet, not opening the unlocked door. "Three to seventeen." Alex stared at me and I looked between him and Laura.
"We'll come see you in the morning, okay?" We have a free day until we fly out to Baltimore. Laura nodded and Alex and I hugged her goodbye before jumping back in the car.
"Shit, that place is so run down." Alex sighed and I looked back at the old house we were leaving behind for out comfortable bus. "How do they even fit fifteen kids in there?"
"Well, where else are they going to go?" I asked and Alex shrugged.
We pulled up outside the bus and both took our belts off, but not moving from our seats.
"I don't know," Alex mumbled. "It's not like you see in the movies I suppose. No big white country house with kids running around happy. They all just want to be out of there, to be normal." Alex leaned over and gave me a quick kiss before we dragged ourselves onto the bus, our moods deflated by seeing where Laura lived and fell into our bunks. Both of us struggling to sleep.
