It felt good to be back with the All Time Low boys. I fit back in like I had never been gone. Matt ended up pulling me into helping with tonight's meet and greet anyway so I got the full run down on how it would work.
"So you can hold the list and check the passes and I'll help out where you need me but you'll need to be able to manage these alone." I nodded and Alex made grabby hands at me from the back lounge where he was sitting with Jack. "But we can go over this tomorrow morning." Matt laughed. "I think you're wanted." I smiled and ran off to Alex. I jumped into his lap where he ensnared me with his arms and drew me into his chest.
"You called?" I giggled as I nuzzled into his neck.
"I wanted you close to me." He kissed the top of my head. "And being on the other end of the bus was not good enough." I looked up at him and he ran his fingers over my cheek. "I wanted you in my arms." His face was suddenly next to mine and I reached up to close the final few inches. Our lips connected gently and a tingling feeling shuddered through my body. We jumped apart as Jack cleared his throat. We both looked towards him as his phone flashed and he put on a maniacal laugh as he shouted: "INSTAGRAM!" And Alex threw me off in order to chase his best friend around the room. I pulled out my phone and slid my thumb across the screen, unlocking it, and pressing the instagram app. The photo appeared instantly. Alex and I were staring at each other, total love in our eyes.

"@awgaskarth and @caitrinar are the cutest things!! :)"

"JACK!" I screamed and Alex ran over to look over my shoulder.
"Oh, fuck." The photo was buzzing with notifications and I stared at Alex. How were we going to deal with this? We had only just met up again and now we'd have to deal with the backlash from fans. "We're not even official Jack!" Alex yelled at him to which Jack nonchalantly shrugged.
"It's about time, its been over ten years that you two have been totally in love with each other. Geez." Alex looked back at me and cocked his head.
"Maybe it wasn't that bad..." He thought out loud and I raised an eyebrow at him. "Rie, will you be my girlfriend?" I gaped at him, struggling to find the words.
"Alex, we only just met up again... and it's been ten years.. and... and..." His brown eyes melted into a pool of sorrow which broke me inside. "Yes, of course I will." He looked up at me and beamed, his phone ready in his hands. "No, no more pictures." I shook my head but Alex grabbed my waist anyway.
"Nuhuh! We have to counteract Jack's escapade and make it official ourselves." I sighed in defeat and Alex snapped a photo of us, both pulling stupid faces. "To twitter!" He raised an arm in the air and Jack patted the spot on the couch next to him.
"Get ready for the notifications." He whispered and I flicked open twitter as Alex's post appeared.

My phone started buzzing with mentions, follows, tweets. I looked worryingly at Jack who put an arm around my shoulder as Alex ran off to share the news. We flicked through the reply's and I didn't quite know how to take it.

What happened to Lisa?

She only got the job because you want to fuck her.

She'll never replace Lisa.

What the fuck Alex?

"Oh no." I whispered and Jack gave me a squeeze.
"It's okay. It happens. Fans get loyal to the girlfriends. It'll blow over. They'll love you. I promise." I nodded slowly, unsure of how to deal with this. Alex called me from the kitchen where he was with the rest of the crew. Jack pulled me to my feet and I gripped onto his hand as I pocketed my phone and struggled to walk towards Alex's voice. The crew cheered as I came into sight and I struggled to fake a smile.
"Rie?" Zack had genuine concern in his voice ans he approached me. "What's wrong?"
"Twitter's exploded." Jack replied for me as I fell into Alex's arms, tears teasing in the corners of my eyes. Alex kissed my hair and squeezed me close. "Is it really a good idea to have her work the meet and greet tongiht, Matt."
"It's the best thing for it. Get her straight out with the fans. Rie's a strong girl, stop babying her. After she gets over the initial shock she'll be fine." This is why I liked having Matt around. He gave me my space and my freedom and believed that I could deal with things without being smothered. "Anyway, Alex will be right there behind her anyway. If a fan acts up, Alex will save her."
"Not that Rie ever needs saving." Rian laughed and the whole bus joined in.
"Damn straight the girl can handle herself." Alex laughed and tilted my chin up so I was looking at him. "You'll be fine, baby." He kissed me quickly before Matt announced bed time and we all found our bunks as the bus crossed into NYC. We needed an early night for a late show tomorrow so partying was really out of the question.
I climbed into the bunk I would share with Alex who jumped in lightly and wrapped his arms around my torso as my head found its way to his chest. My head fit there perfectly and it was the most comfortable pillow I could ask for. Alex took a deep breath and whispered that he loved me before kissing the top of my head and falling instantly asleep. I, however, didn't find it as easy.
