"No!" I protested as Alex pulled me onstage and into a massive bear hug. "I'm not singing, Alex!" A microphone was shoved into my hand at the same time Danny swapped Alex's electric for an acoustic.
"This, guys, is Rie. She sings like an angel and I know she knows the words." Alex giggled into the mic as he began to strum. I looked down at Kaysey who was staring at me with envy in her eye.
"You never fucking told me!" I heard her yell over the crowd and I shrugged before sitting down on the amp, my legs couldn't keep me up they were shaking from the nerves. Jack and Zack shot me thumbs up from side-stage and I shook my head at them. I wasn't exactly thrilled about this.
"Left him dying to get in." I took a breath and prepared myself, I knew the harmonies so why not.
"Forgive me I'm trying to find, my calling I'm calling at night." Alex smiled at me and winked as the crowd cheered and I shoved my free hand into the back pocket of my jeans. This. Was. Horrid. "I don't mean to be a bother but have you seen this girl?" Alex pointed to me and laughed.
"She's been running through my dreams," He half laughed, half sung into the mic. "And it's driving me crazy, it seems. I'm gonna ask her to marry me." I poked my tongue out as Alex half slid to his knees to tease the crowd.
"And even though she doesn't believe in love," Oh, so he remembered that bit. I sighed as Alex poked his tongue back. "He's determined to call her bluff, who could deny, these butterflies? They're filling his gut." His face scrunched up in that adorable way it always did when he got passionate while singing a song. "Waking the neighbors..." I tuned out for a while, breathing deeply to prepare myself to hit the notes that were almost too high. I really hated Alex sometimes, especially now. He had pulled me onstage after not seeing me for ten years and forcing me to sing. I swear, as soon as he got off stage, I was going to kill him. Jack and Rian were giggling at the obvious frustration on my face about being pulled up on stage to sing and I couldn't help but laugh back at them, they hadn't changed, not one bit.
"Oh, I can see now, that all of these clouds are following me on my desperate endevour," I took a breath and steadied my nerves. "To find my whoever, whoever she may be."
"I'm not coming back, I've done something so terrible, I'm terrified to speak but you'd expect that from me." I belted and the crowd cheered and Kaysey stared at me gobsmacked. I had sung at home, but I was always just taking the piss or being an idiot. "I'm mixed up I'll be blunt, now the rain is just washing you out of my hair, and out of my mind." I looked over to Jack and the others and saw Cassadee standing there with her hands in the air, cheering. "Keeping an eye on the world, so many thousands of feet off the ground, I'm over you now, I'm at home in the clouds, towering over your head."
"Oh, you'd never do that." Alex mumbled, taking a hit at my shortness. "Well, I guess I'll go home now." I joined him in the outro, our voices melting together like they always had.
"I guess I'll go home now, I guess I'll go home now, I guess I'll go home." Alex dropped the guitar and pulled me towards him and into a rib crushing hug.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Caitrina Roberts. My best friend!"
"Aside from me!" Echoed through the speakers as I was presented to the crowd.
"Of course, apart form Jack." Alex laughed and whispered to me to wait off stage.
"Wait, Kaysey!" I said as Danny waved me over. I asked the security guard to pull her onstage and had to drag her off to the side as she freaked out about being on stage with All Time Low.
We stood side stage to watch the rest of the set and a pair of unknown arms engulfed me tightly and squealed in my ear.
"You were fantastic!" I whipped around to see Cassadee Pope smiling hugely at me. "I heard Alex singing and ran side stage thinking I was late but then Rian told me what was going on and who you were and Ah!" She pulled me in for yet another hug. "You were brilliant!"
"Uh, thank you." I smiled and looked over to Kaysey who was practically bouncing out of her seat in excitement. "Cassadee this is Kaysey, my room mate. She loves you." I giggled as Cassadee replaced me with Kaysey.
"It's great to meet you two. And especially you, Rie. Alex has told me about you." I was shocked. Alex talked about me? "But please, call me Cass."
The three of us bobbed along and danced to the boys set, singing along with every lyric. Alex yelled goodbye tot he crowd and ran off, whisking me up and spinning me around.
"Rie!" Jack and Zack engulfed me in a hug, grabbing me off a reluctant Alex. "Where have you been, fucker?" Jack kept squeezing. I laughed as Alex snatched me back.
"No." He whined. "My Rie." We all laughed and I introduced Kaysey to the boys while Alex wrapped his arms wrapped around my shoulders, refusing to let me go.
"I let you leave me once. It's so not happening again." Alex announced as we walked towards the tour bus.
"She didn't even want to come!" Kaysey announced as we made our way across the car park. Alex moved his arms from where we were awkwardly waddling to hold my hand tightly.
"You didn't?" I shook my head cautiously. "Why?"
"I couldn't stand the though of you not recognizing me." I shrugged as Jack opened the door and we all piled in, filling up the lounge.
"I like how you think that I'd ever forget you, Bear." I giggled at the old nickname and watched as we all piled into the bus. We ran out of seats so Cass and I took up laps and Kaysey looked more than happy being squished in between Jack and Zack. I could tell by the look on her face that it was taking all of her willpower to keep her fan girl under control.
"I can't believe it took us ten years to meet up with you again, Rie." Rian laughed. "How have you been?"
"Good, busy." I shrugged. God. I needed to stop doing that. "Working at a clothing store, I couldn't get a job after I graduated so I needed something to do in the mean time."
"What did you graduate in?" Zack piped in, ever the sensible questions.
"Audio Engineering and management." I laughed and pointed at Matt. "I followed in Flyzick's footsteps." Matt raised his fists and whooped.
"Speaking of management..." Jack murmured under his breath and I felt Alex's chest pick up the way it always used to when he had an idea.
"Jack's a genius." Zack smiled and Rian and Matt nodded in agreement.
"Still with the telepathy!" I groaned as I looked around the band and crew piled into the bus. They always used to do this, one would have an idea and the others would catch on before anyone had said anything. It annoyed me as much now as it did way back then.
"Beeaaarrrrrrr." Alex droned as he tickled my sides and I punched him in the leg. "Matt needs an assistant manager if he's going to stay on with us." I stared at Alex, gobsmacked.
"You what?" I stared around at the beaming All Time Low members.
"Rie Bear!" Jack shot up from his seat and sunk to his knee in front of me. "Be our assistant tour manager?" I burst into nervous giggles and turned to look at Alex who nodded enthusiastically.
"I'll do it." I smiled and the whole bus cheered, except for Kaysey who stood up, furious.
"WAIT! First you never tell me you're fucking close friends with All Time Low and now you;re fucking cuddling with Alex. Tow, you're going to leave me and work for them after lying to me for all these years?" She stared down at me and I,y jaw dropped. What was this? "Fuck this. I'm done." She stormed off the bus and I threw my keys at her knowing I couldn't stop her. The door slammed shut and we all stared after her, gob smacked.
"Aw," Jack laughed. "You british girls have such cute accents when you're angry."

Hi, so I stumbled across your other story however many months ago and really enjoyed it. And now I've stumbled across this one and wanted to leave some feedback. :) I really like what you have of this story. Alex and Rie's relationship is so sweet. :)
I'm bummed to see this was never continued, though, especially after leaving off on such a cliffhanger. I just wanted to leave feedback letting you know I'll be here to read if you ever do choose to pick it up again. You're a really great writer and I would love to see how it all ends for Alex and Rie. :)
But yeah, I'll be here.
