I heard a knock on the door and held Jack's hand. 3 guys appeared. "Shit." Zack mumbled under his breath. "What are you doing here?" Alex asked. "I was about to ask Zack the same thing. Thought you had a date?" Zack looked down at his shoes. "Scarlett!" Alex snapped. Jack put his arm around me. "Alex. We want to talk to you... Alone," I said glancing at the other 2 boys with that last word. He followed Jack and I upstairs to Jack's small bedroom. "So?" Alex said looking at me then at Jack. "Are you guys a couple?" Jack looked a me. I thought for a second and replied with a nod. "And I'm happy," I said sitting down beside the disappointed Alex. "Yeah... but you could have anyone and you choose Jack. Really?" Jack rolled his eyes. "I mean. I didn't mean to scare the shit out of you and Zack when he first liked you but I guess you have to be with one of my friends " "No Alex. It's not like that at all. We had a small crush on each other. Alex, me and Jack feel something about each other. I haven't figured it out but it's something!" I said. He let out a small giggle. He was fine with it. Good. Nice. Awesome. Perfect.

When the boys left Jack changed and I just layed quietly on his bed. "So, wanna play a game?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm going to ask you a few questions." I nodded. "1.) Why are you so quiet all of a sudden?" I fipped him off and layed back down. "2.) Are you going back to Zack's?" I shook my head. "3.) Why are you so beautiful?" He moved my hair out of my face. "4.) Will you go to prom with me?" For the first time in 15 minutes, I spoke, "Yes." He crashed his lips into mine. *Hands are shaking cold. These hands are meant to hold* "Dammit!" Jack said pulling away. "Hello?" "Hey, wanna hang out?!?" It was Alex. "Alex, you were just here!" He yelled. "But you're not busy right?" Jack looked at me and sighed. "Yeah. Kinda," I grabbed the phone. "Hey Lex, Jack's busy right now. Before you called he was about to fuck you're little sister!" I hung up the phone. "He's going to hate us so much," Jack laughed and kissed my neck. "Let's watch Home Alone!" Jack grabbed the movie from behind me. "That's no fair! You were buttering me up just to get me to watch Home Alone!" He put it in and held me in his arms.

Two days later, Cassadee and I went to a dress store. I wasn't up for something pink, puffy, and sparkly. I wasn't that type of girl. But I did want a dress.
We looked around and I found the perfect dress. Cassadee found hers too. "Hey Scarlett!" Sophia Marshall exclaimed. God I hated that girl. "Who would want to take a emo, disgusting, faggot like you to Prom?" Cassadee looked over at what was going on. "Who would want to take a hateful, soulless, bitch like you?" Cassadee grabbed my arm and mouthed, "Stop!" "Jacob Allen," I opened my mouth. "Your turn," It was actually really funny to see the look on here face when I told her. "Jack Barakat," She gave me the "Marshall's Evil Eye" and walked out of the store. "What a bitchy little prick!" I yelled. "Language," Cass said as she apid for our things. "It's true! Now I'm going to have to deal with her at prom in two weeks," We walked out the store and went to Starbucks. "Hey. There's Darin and Steve wanna go say hi?" Darin and Steve were guys I hang out with. We all had the same classes so we would sit in the back and annoy the teachers. "Yeah sure," I walked over and stole Steve's hat. "Son of a bi-" He turned around and smiled. "Guess who we ran into today?" Cassadee started.
