The only thing I've ever found that's greater than it always sounds, is Love

1/1

-Jack's POV-

He was there every day, whatever time he was there. He was beautiful, even if he was slightly scruffy. He had lovely soft-looking caramel coloured hair with a pair of honey coloured eyes to match. He always wore the same thing; a slightly baggy pink and grey checked shirt which hung of his slender frame, a pair of grey skinny jeans which were slightly ripped at the knees and a pair of tattered old white converse.

He was there again today, strumming away at his battered old acoustic while his sweet melodic voice rung out through the busy tunnel system. You may think that today was just like any other day but no today was different. Today was the day I was going to talk to the mystery boy with the beautiful voice.

I strode down the tunnel through the rush hour bustle, £10 note in hand. I walked up to the boy, trying not to get swept away in the busy tunnel. I stood in front of him until he had finished the song he was performing, only then did he look up at me from his seat on the floor. I offered him the £10 note which he gladly accepted, although he did look slightly surprised. It turns out the song he just played was his last one, so I hung around. The tunnel was starting to clear a little after the rush of business men and women on their way home from work, now only the occasional person hurried past.
"You're really good you know" I stated, "At singing and playing I mean" I quickly added. Way to go Barakat you've fucked it up now.
"Realy? Thanks." I looked down into the boy's beautiful eyes to see a mixture of shock, happiness and something else. What was it? I couldn't tell. I stuck my hand out to help him up from his spot.
"Do you maybe want to grab a coffee or whatever with me?" I asked.
"Sure" he said
It was my turn to be surprised when I heard this. He picked up the hoodie he had been sitting on and slipped it over his head. I grinned, noticing it was a Blink-182 hoodie.
"You like blink?" I asked, still grinning like a madman.
"Yeah"

-a couple of hours later-

We had talked for ages in the small café, about music and various other stuff. The boy's name was Alex and he was 23 (the same age as me). We just clicked together. I already felt more relaxed around Alex than I did with some of my other friends who I had known for years.

We eventually got kicked out the café and I asked Alex if he wanted to come over to my place. He agreed of course. We caught one of the late tubes back to my apartment.

I led Alex into my home and we both plonked ourselves down on the sofa. It was getting quite late now but we were both still wide awake.
"Do you want a beer?" I asked. "Sure, thanks" Alex replied. Alex was a really nice guy, he and I had loads in common. But the problem is the more we talked, the more alike I found we were and the more attraction I felt towards him. I grabbed a couple of cold beers of cold beers from the fridge and walked back into the living room, tossing a beer to Alex.

A couple of beers and a lot of chatting later we were both getting a bit tired, so I slipped a random DVD into the player and sat back on the sofa with Alex. I smirked when I realised I had managed to put my favourite film in the DVD player, Home Alone.

-Alex's POV-

I couldn't help but smile a the way Jack's face lit up as the menu for Home Alone popped onto the screen. This guy was like a small child and to be honest it was really cute, he was really cute. Home Alone usually would have been boring for me but watching Jack's facial expressions and the way he mouthed every word was amazing, it was like a new film just for me.

-Jack's POV-

By the end of the film Alex and I had somehow ended up cuddled together on the sofa. He was so warm and up close he was even more beautiful. His eyes were so amazing, they weren't just brown, there was a million different shades of browns and oranges there. I must have been staring for a while because I suddenly noticed Alex was staring back.
"Hey Lex?" I asked, trying out the new nickname I thought of for him, "I forgot to ask earlier, when's your birthday?"
He blushed, obviously embarrassed. It was cute the way the pink dusted over his cheeks.
"Um, it's the 14th of December." he mumbled.
Today! His birthday was today!
"Well happy birthday then!" I exclaimed. What happened next didn't involve any thinking, it just happened. I ducked down and captured his beautiful lips in a gentle kiss. Our lips moved together. There was no tongue involved, it wasn't needed, the moment was already special enough.
