Rian somewhere in the night manuvered the waiting room chairs into a "bed". He used his own, Jack's and Alex's coats as blankets. Alex and Jack were in the cafeteria getting coffee and donuts for the three boys. Jack didn't understand how Rian could sleep in a time like this. He barely knew Cassadee and could barely sleep knowing that someone wanted to hurt her.
Jack walked up to the cash register and paid for the coffee and the donuts. Alex was waiting for him by the elevator.
"Come on Barakitty. Let's go back and see how Ri is doing. Maybe there is word on Cassadee.."
The elevator dinged and the boys moved into the elevator. Jack pressed floor six, the ER. When the elevator let them out they saw Rian sitting up, watching the morning news.
"It is confirmed that twenty year old Cassadee Blake Pope was shot in the chest last night at a preformance at CDs Save Us. Athorataaaaaaaayyyyyyyy still don't have a lead. There were no cameras at the sight of the crime. The known people in the crowd have been taken into custody for questioning. More updates as this story unfolds. Now onto Bryan for the weather."
Jack and Alex walked up to boy now sitting in a chair with tears running down his eyes. Jack handed him his coffee. "Here ya go bud, regular coffee three creamers two sugars." Rian nodded in apprecation. He couldn't really talk, the tears running down his face wouldn't stop. Jack wished he could help Rian more. Alex was already two months behind in school, but he didn't care. He needed to be with Rian.
Mrs and Mr Pope walked up to Rian, Alex, and Jack as they left the Emergency Room doors.
"Cassadee is doing much better already. She's still shook up, but they want to transfer her to the ICU tomorrow, which means you'll be able to see her soon. She sends her love and says that she can't wait to see you again. Goodbye boys." Mrs. Pope spoke in a cheery voice.
