Kara woke up. Where the fuck am I? Why does my head hurt? Then, she remembered everything realizing it wasn't a dream and just started crying. She then heard footsteps coming to where ever she was. It was Alex. "Can I open the curtain?" He asked. "mmhmm" she mumbled still sobbing. He opened the curtain and looked at her. "What's wrong?" she kept crying for a minute. "I'm. still. here." She kept sobbing. What happened to this poor girl? He thought. "I think its a good thing. What's your name?" That made her cry even more "It's Kara" she managed to choke out. Alex scooped her up and carried her into the back where the couches and such were. He sat down next to her and just held opened his arms. She hugged him so tight and he hugged as well. "I'm so glad you're here. I'm so glad you're safe." He told her. She just cried into his chest. Why is he being so nice to me? The thought of someone caring made her cry more. "Please don't be sad" He comforted her and kissed her head. She was sobbing so her words came out choppy but he made out what she said perfectly, "I've loved you for years. You've saved me more than once, I've never felt safer. But I still just want to go." He held her tighter. "Shit, you'll make me cry" a few tears ran down his face. "Please dont! I don't want that!" Kara wiped away Alex's tears. He smiled and did the same for her. She looked down at his hand on her face. It felt right. She felt safe. Then she did something she hadn't done in the longest time. She smiled a real smile, one that she felt, not one she was using to cover anything up. "That's a beautiful smile." He complimented her. Kara blushed and looked down. "I haven't smiled in a while. Thank you." She hugged him. "That's good to hear. I'm glad you smiled. It's a beautiful one." He hugged her back tighter. How did my tears stop so fast? Did he actually just make me smile for real?
