Bullet For My Idol...

(Alex's POV)

I cradled Kat as she bawled into my chest.She was really devastated that Noelle hasn't shown any signs of waking up yet.The guilt is eating me alive even though I didn't know her personally.I fear if she died I would be the only one responsible.

Jack and Rian returned with coffee for everyone even though we didn't ask for it.

"You need sleep man." Jack told me as he put one hand on my shoulder.

"No no im fine I won't sleep until I know the girl who took a bullet for me is alright." I responded with my eyes still glued on the hospital bed.

"Go." Kat said to me.

I felt hurt from the tone in her voice.She realized it and softened her look.

"Go get some sleep I'll stay here and if she wakes up I'll call you." She said handing me a slip of paper with her number on it.

I really didn't want to leave but Jack and Rian escorted me out before I could protest.

"Wow man I have never seen you so exhausted." Rian commented as we walked out to his car.

"You don't have the guilt in your head because someone took a bullet for you and you aren't seeing any signs of her being alright or even alive." I responded in a tone that was sort of rude.

The whole ride back to the Bus which Matt had taken the time to park close to the Hospital (gotta love him!) was silent because of what I said earlier.

"I'm going to bed get me if Kat calls." I said as soon as the bus door opened.

I didn't wait for a response before heading to my small bunk and falling asleep with the guilt still pounding against my skull.

When I woke up it was the next morning.I'm guessing Kat didn't call at all which made me upset.As soon as I walked out into the living room area of the bus my phone rang.Without hesitation I answered it and recognized Kat's voice on the other line.

"The doctor told me some news and you need to come hear them in person." She instructed and with that I was out of the bus and running towards the hospital before anyone could ask what she said.

(Kat's POV)

"Ok so there are good and bad news." The doctor said.

"The good first." I said looking at Noelle who has been out for 13 agony filled hours.

The doctor took a breath before speaking.

"Ok so she is expected to wake up any time now." He said making me grin.

"And the bad?" I asked looking sorrowful once again.

"Well... She won't ever walk again...."
