Sit Back, Gotta Catch My Breath

I gave Alex a reassuring glance before starting to strum the guitar. When he started to sing, I looked around the room. Just about everyone's face was filled with surprise. I listned to Alex sing, his voice sending a chill down my spine.
"...They had breakfast together
But two eggs don't last
Like the feeling of what he needs
Now this place seems familiar to him
She pulled on his hand
With a devilish grin
She led him upstairs
She led him upstairs
Left him dying to get in
Forgive me
I'm trying to find

I don't mean to be a bother

Even though she doesn't believe in love
He's determined to call her bluff

These butterflies?

Waking the neighbors
Unfamiliar faces
He pleads

Now he's dying to get inside

I didn't think much of it then

By this point, people were mesmorized. But surprised filled their faces once again when Juliet began to sing with Alex as back-up.
"I'm not coming back
(Forgive me)
I've done something so terrible
I'm terrified to speak
(I'm not calling, I'm not calling)
But you'd expect that from me
I'm mixed up
I'll be blunt
(You're driving me crazy)
Now the rain is just
Washing you out of my hair
And out of my mind

Of feet off the ground

I'm at home in the clouds

And then Alex finished out the song as I finished playing.
"Well I guess I'll go home now
I guess I'll go home now
I guess I'll go home now
I guess I'll go home."
We sat in silence before the class broke into an applause. We even got whistles from a couple people. Who knew performing could feel this amazing? I looked over at Alex, and I could tell my the huge smile on his face that he was thinking the exact same thing.

"A band?" Rian asked, scratching the back of his head.
I had called Rian and Zack and told them to meet me at Starbucks because I had something really important to talk to them about.
I nodded. "Yeah! I mean, you play drums, Zack plays bass, Alex and I play guitar-"
"But what about vocals?" Zack interupted.
I turned to look at him. "I already talked to Alex and he said he would do it."
"Alex can sing?" Rian asked, sounding surprised.
"Yeah! He's an amazing singer! Ask anyone in our music class!"
The two boys looked at each other, and then back at me. "I'm down," Zack finally said.
"Yeah. It sounds pretty cool," Rian said, "But there's just one problem."
I could feel my smile disappear and my eyebrows pull together. "What?"
"We need a name."
