It's been three days since I kissed Alex by the flag pole. Things have pretty much gone back to normal. We're talking as much as we used to, if not more; I broke up with Natalie, since it's been over the agreed time; and things are just perfect.
I sat down on my couch, twiddling my thumbs as I waited for Alex to show up. Movie night was being held at my house tonight, and it was Alex's turn to pick the movie. I stood up and started pacing the room, unsure of how much longer I could take the wait.
As if on cue, the doorbell rang and my heart skipped a beat. I ran upstairs and to the front door. I opened it to reveal a very cold Alex. I grabbed his arm and pulled him inside and closed the door before wrapping him in a warm hug. I could feel him take a deep breath, as if trying to inhale the warmth. I kissed the top of his head and led him downstairs where I had everything set up for movie night.
Alex pulled a movie case out of his coat and handed it to me. When I saw what it was, I rolled my eyes. Peter Pan. I put the movie in and joined Alex on the couch as it started, maybe sitting a little too close, but he didn't seem to mind.
I leaned back and pulled one of the blankets over me. Alex pulled the other blanket over himself and scooted closer to me causally. I smirked to myself and focused on the movie, even though I could feel Alex's eyes on me the whole time.

A couple hours later, when the movie was over, I looked over at Alex, who, I found, was fast asleep. I chuckled quietly and stood up. I hooked one arm under his knees and the other around his back and carried him over to my bed. I set him down gently and ever-so-carefully tucked him in. I sneaked upstairs and called his mom and asked if it was okay if he spent the night. Thank God she said it was okay, because I really didn't want to disturb Alex's slumber. I made my way back downstairs and changed into my sweatpants and laid down on the couch.
I wrapped the blanket around me tightly and snuggled into my spare pillow. I sighed deeply and feel into the darkness of unconsciousness.

I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder. I rolled over, almost falling off the couch. My eyes fluttered open to see a smiling Alex. I smiled back at him. "Morning," I mumbled.
He giggled and got down on his knees to look me in the eyes. "Morning," he said, "Nice hair."
I ran my hand through my hair and chuckled. "Nice hair, yourself."
He leaned down and gave me a quick peck on the cheek before getting up and running upstairs. I moaned and got up and followed him upstairs.
When I reached the top step, I looked around, but couldn't find Alex. "Alex," I groaned, "It's too early for hide and seek."
I heard him giggle from the living room and poked my head around the corner to see him curled up on the couch. "It's after 11."
My eyes widened and I looked at the clock. Well, I'll be damned. He was right. I looked back at him and he was getting up off the couch and walking over to me, I opened my arms and allowed him to engulf me in a hug. I kissed the top of his head and chuckled. "Did you sleep well?"
He mumbled something into my chest.
"I can't understand you, Lex."
He looked up at me. "I said y- Wait. Did you call me Lex?"
I bit my lip. "Uh... yeah. Yeah, I did. If you don't like it-"
"I love it!" he chirped as he hugged me tighter.
I laughed. "Well, okay, then." My stomach growled and I pushed Alex away a little bit. "You want some breakfast?"
His smile faded and he shook his head. "No. I'm good. Thanks."
I pushed him away from me and crossed my arms and furrowed my eyebrows. "Please eat something, Alex. You can't just starve yourself. You're plenty thin."
Alex shook his head again.
I sighed and pulled him into another hug. "Lex, you're thinner than I am. If you're so fat, what does that make me exactly?"
He sighed and nodded. "I'll eat something small, I guess."
I let go of him and looked him in the eyes and smiled. "That's better." I wrapped an arm around his waist and led him to the kitchen.

Alex and I were now huddled up together on the couch in the living room. I ended up getting him to eat four pieces of bacon, an egg, and two pieces of toast. He complained a little bit, but I talked him into it. After we were done eating, I have him some sweatpants and a t-shirt to change into while I put his clothes in the wash. We were waiting for them to get done in the dryer before we headed out to get some Starbucks and then I was going to drop him off at his house.
We've been talking nonstop since we woke up this morning. It amazes me that we haven't run out of things to talk about.

Alex's clothes finally got done in the washer and so we went out for some Starbucks and then I drove him home. His mom ended up inviting me to stay for dinner, and I didn't want to seem rude, so I agreed. We had pot roast and mashed potatoes. Alex wasn't going to eat any of it, but I convinced him to eat a few bites. I was going to have to keep a close eye on him to make sure he eats.
I was now back at home, just chilling on my bed, thinking about the day's events. And I thought about the goodbye kiss Alex gave me before I left his house. It had sent goosebumps down my arms and I saw fireworks behind my eyelids. It truly was magical whenever our lips touched.
I smiled to myself and closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep, and looking forward to tomorrow.
