Delilah~~

"I.. Yeah.." Alex said. I smiled and hugged him tightly. I felt like I was living a dream. Even though I insulted Alex a couple times, I didn't stop liking him.

"Just fucking kiss her, Alex." Jack said. I pulled away and looked at Alex again, who had a large smile on his face.

"You won't run away this time?"

"Just kiss me already." I said. Alex laughed and gently pressed his lips to mine. My eyes fluttered shut as I melted into the kiss.

"They grow up so fast." Jack said with a sniffle. I resisted the urge to laugh, however I did smile, causing Alex to do the same. He pulled away and rested his forehead against mine. I left my eyes closed for a minute before opening them and looking into Alex's eyes.

"Will you be my girlfriend, Del? I promise, no more Lisa." He said.

"I.. uh... I'm still kinda not ready." I said.

"But you're ready to kiss him!?" Sami asked incredulously. I stepped away from Alex and sat on the couch. I saw the disappointment of being rejected in his eyes.

"That's different, though. You've got to be committed in a relationship, not when you're kissing someone. I'm still not fully over Daulton." I said.

"Are you saying you still have feelings for the dickwad?" Noah asked. I jumped at his voice, not knowing he was in the room. Actually, the whole rest of my band was now in the room. I looked at him, then looked down.

"No... I'm saying that I'm still not over what he did to me." I said in frustration. They didn't understand.

"Soo.. you still have feelings for him." Kyle said.

"He broke my fucking heart! Do you EXPECT me to be over it by now? We were dating for five years and I fucking LOVED him!" I said as my eyes filled with tears. Alex rushed over and sat down next to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head atop mine. I hugged Alex's arm that was across my stomach into my chest and I closed my eyes to stop the tears.

"You guys are dicks." Sami said to Kyle and Noah.

"I don't understand relationships, alright." Noah said.

"That's because you haven't had any." I said as I opened my eyes. I unwrapped Alex's arms from around my waist and I stood up. I headed to the door, and on my way there, I grabbed a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Once outside, I made my way round to the other side of the bus. I sat down and leaned against the bus. I opened the almost empty pack of cigarettes and took one out, lighting it up with the lighter. I set the box on the ground and took a long drag off the fag.

"You know, those really aren't good for you." A voice said to my left. I looked over and saw Rian standing there.

"Well, if none of this shit was going on, I wouldn't be smoking it, now would I?" I asked with a shake of my head. My eyes flickered from Rian to my cigarette, then back to him.

"That was a rhetorical question, by the way." I said. He nodded.

"That's why I didn't answer it. Anyway, what are you up to?" He asked as he sat down next to me.

"Nothing that's making me happy at the moment. What about you?" I asked as I took another drag. Rian took the cigarette from me and put it out on the pavement. I made a whining noise and he laughed at me.

"Jerk."

"Anyway.. I just got off the phone with my girlfriend." Rian said.

"Who's your girlfriend?" I asked.

"The wonderful Cassadee Pope." He said.

"Never heard of her before." I said.

"Makes some sense. You seem like a hard rock girl." Rian said. I nodded.

"Have you heard my band?" I said with a laugh.

"Yeah. Anyway, I told her about you and Sam. She wants to meet you." He said.

"So do I. Can't wait to meet the girl who makes you happy." I said with a half smile.

"Oh good I thought you ran away again." Alex said from behind me. I looked over at him and gave him a soft smile.

"No. Just came out here for a smoke, but Rian took it from me and put it out.." I said.

"Well, you shouldn't smoke. It's not good for you." Alex said.

"I've been told. Andy got me into it." I said.

"I'll let you two talk." Rian said. I nodded and he stood up, then left. Alex took his spot next to me and it was silent for a minute before one of us said anything.

"Alex, I'm sorry." I said.

"For what?" He asked.

"Everything I've said.. and done to you." I said shamefully.

"It's alright, Del. It really is... and I'm sorry for calling you a bitch earlier." Alex said. I smiled at the nickname and looked at Alex in the eyes.

"I really want to be with you.. it's just... I'm not sure if I'm ready for a relationship right now. Everything has made me... vulnerable? I don't know." I said.

"It's okay Delilah. Just, let me know when you're ready.. and we'll figure it all out when that time comes. Alright?" Alex asked. I nodded my head and looked at Alex.

"That sounds great." I said. I leaned over and pressed my lips to Alex's cheek gently before standing up. I grabbed my pack of cigarettes and the lighter and pulled Alex up. He looked down at my hand, then up at me.

"Give them to me. I don't want you smoking.. seriously." He said. I pouted, but handed them to him nonetheless. He smiled and grabbed my hand, then led me back around to the front of the bus. We both walked inside, him not releasing my hand the whole time. Everyone looked our way, eyes flickering from our faces to our entwined hands.

"So?" Jack asked.

"Are you dating?" Sam asked. I looked up at Alex, then at my best friend. Alex looked at me, all the while with a smile on his face.

"No." Was all he said. Everyone started talking at once, causing me to ignore them all.

"I'm going to head back to my bus. See you later, Del. Good luck for your show later, also." Alex said. I smiled and kissed his cheek once more. He left and everyone got silent.

"There's something going on between you two, isn't there?" Sami asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I said as a smile painted my lips. She crossed her arms over her chest and stared at me.

"Well, I'm gonna hit the shower. See you guys in a bit." I said. Jack walked past me and off the bus, and I headed to the bathroom, a stupid grin on my face. Maybe I wanted to be with Alex sooner than I thought.
