Alex Gaskarth Must Die

Ladies Shouldn't Be Messed With

After school, I slumped into a seat in the classroom they used for detention. I was the first one there, but soon, Bridget showed up, followed by Ciara.

“I just talked to Alex,” Bridget said.

“So did I,” Ciara replied.

“He laughed when I told him what you said.” Bridget smirked.

“I’m sure he was just laughing at your sad attempt at a dry hand-job,” Meredith cut in as she walked through the door.

“He said, ‘What we have together is so special,’” Bridget said.

“‘Like our own little secret,’” Ciara continued.

“‘And we don’t need to prove it to anyone,’” Meredith said.

“‘Because it’s just you and me, baby!’” By this time, their voices had risen to near-shouts

“Oh my God, I can’t believe it!” Meredith cried.

“All that bullshit keeping it a secret because the guys didn’t want him dating so he wouldn’t get distracted from band stuff.” Bridget scoffed.

“Yeah, like they’d give a shit either way. I can’t believe we all fell for it,” Ciara said.

“Well, he could be pretty charming. I was just glad that I wasn’t dating Chad or Jake or any of the other assholes my parents tried to set me up with,” Meredith said.

“I can’t believe I drank beer for him,” Ciara huffed and the others stared at her. “What? I’m straight edge!” She shrugged.

They seemed to notice me watching them.

“Can we help you?” Bridget asked.

“I-I was just thinking...” I stammered.

“What?” Ciara asked.

“You could totally get even with him,” I said earnestly.

“Who are you again?” Bridget asked.

“Wow, way to be rude, Malibu Barbie,” Meredith snapped.

“Well, do you know who she is?” Bridget asked.

“No, but I would’ve been more subtle about it,” Meredith replied.

“Oh yeah?” Bridget asked.

“Yeah.”

“Guys, stop! I’m Rhiannon,” I said, feeling out of place.

“Nice to meet you, Rhiannon. I’m Meredith, and that’s Ciara and Bridget.” I didn’t mention the fact that I already knew all of them. It would’ve made things ten times more awkward.

--

I came home, changed into sweats and an old t-shirt, made myself some Chef Boyardee and sat down on the couch to watch some ANTM before I started my homework. I was almost finished eating, when the doorbell rang. When I answered, Bridget was standing there.

“Hey, you’re Rhiannon, right?” She asked.

“Yeah…” I said slowly.

“Well, something you said earlier kind of...stuck with me. Can I come in?” She asked.

I sighed.

“Sure,” I said, opening the door wider and letting her in.

“What are you doing here?” I heard Meredith ask from behind Bridget. Where did they even get my address?

“Probably the same thing you are. I wanna bring down Alex G,” Bridget replied.

“It looks like great minds think alike,” Ciara added as she walked up the front path.

We settled in my room. Bridget and I were on my bed, Meredith was in my bean bag chair, and Ciara was spinning herself around in my desk chair.

“So uh...did you guys plan this?” I asked.

“No. Happy accident I guess.” Meredith shrugged.

“So, do we know how we’re going to do this?” Bridget asked.

Meredith shook her head and Ciara shrugged.

“I got it!” I said suddenly.

“What?” Bridget asked.

“Well, first we make him think he’s lost his touch--” I began, but Ciara cut in.

“That’s gonna be hard, considering he hasn’t.”

“Bear with me. So Meredith, he likes you because you guys can get into intellectual debates, right?” I asked. She nodded. “Okay, on your next date, act like he’s the dumbest person you’ve ever met.”

“Ciara, you and Alex share a love of music, correct? Well get him to play you a song and tell him how much you hate it.”

“And Bridget, Alex loves you because you’ll do just about anything in bed.” Bridget blushed. “Then you need to rebuff his every advance. Act like he has every STD known to man.”

“That’s genius!” Bridget cried, hugging me. I stiffened a little in her embrace.

“How about we all set up a date on the same night.” Ciara suggested.

“Great idea. How about Friday?” I asked.

“Sounds good.” the other girls nodded in agreement.

This was only the beginning.

Omg that’s amazing, thank you!

I know what's going to happen but at the same time I'm sitting on the edge of my chair, waiting to see how things develop
