Can Love Last?
Boom.
Alex's POV
After I got everything set up on the bus for my special date with Arianna, I figured I should go find her to apologize and ya know, actually have her agree to come to this date. I hope she says yes, I mean I think she will. I think Rian said she went to ADTR's bus, not surprisingly. If I didn't know Jeremy and Vic had a thing going on, I would totally think Ari was cheating on me.
Knocking on the door of the bus, I hear Jeremy's familiar voice call, "Just a second!" before the door opens.
"Oh hey Alex. Did you and Ari make up?"
"Hi Jeremy. No, not yet. I was actually wondering if you knew where she was. Rian said she came here."
"Yeah, she did, but then she went to go find you. You really screwed up, by the way."
"Yeah I know. Trust me, I know. I just had this conversation with her brother. I want to find her to apologize."
"Okay. I'll let you know if I-"
He gets cut off by the sound of a muffled scream coming from behind one of the merch tents. Wordlessly, he follows me at a sprint over to where we heard the noise. What I see makes me sick.
It's one of my best friends, Austin Carlile. Or should I say, former best friend. What Jeremy and I saw was him pin Arianna to the ground, put a rag over her face to make her stop screaming and thrashing, and then start to undo his belt. I'm frozen, until I see Jeremy run over and tackle Austin to the ground.
Shaken out of my reverie, I run to Arianna's side and lift her up.
"I'm taking her to the med tent. I'll grab security on my way. You got him?"
"Yeah I got him for now. Go Alex."
Oh god. I'm going to kill Austin. Seriously, I might actually kill him.
Arianna's POV
Walking out of ADTR's bus, I realize I don't know where Alex is to apologize. I figure he's probably still on the bus, so that's the direction I start to head.
"Hey there girly." A pair of tatooed arms wrap around me. There's only one person that could be.
"Hey Austin!"
"How are you?" He says, letting me go and walking beside me.
"Okay. I'm looking for Alex. He was being an ass earlier and stuff, so...."
"Yeah I get it. Hey, before you do that, there's something I wanted to show you. Follow me!"
Not that he gave me much choice in the matter, grabbing my hand and practically dragging me back behind a pretty secluded merch tent.
"Austin, there's nothing back here."
I could have imagined a lot of things at that moment. The only thing I didn't expect was Austin to backhand me so hard I saw stars and fell to the ground, screaming in pain. As soon as I screamed he knelt down next to me and pinned my puny arms down with one hand, using the other to hold a cloth to my face.
