Can Love Last?

Alex's POV
I know it was just a dream, but something about Austin does seem.........off. We've been friends for a really long time, so I figure I'll just talk to him about it.

"Good morning Alex! I made you breakfast."

"God Arianna, what would I do without you?"

"Honestly, I don't know,"

"Hey! Anyway, I'm gonna go talk to Austin, and then do you maybe wanna hang out? We have the day off."

"Sure. Why don't you bring Austin when you're done, and I'll go invite Jeremy and Vic? Or is this 'us time'?"

"Us time. Definitely." I growl in her ear, making her giggle.

"Then I guess I'll have to get ready. See you in a bit babe!" With that, she's gone.

I finish up the delicious breakfast she made me. I was getting ready to walk out the door when I realized I wasn't wearing a shirt....screw it. It's summer. And Jesus, between Zack fucking Merrick and all the other ripped people on this tour, no one of the male gender wears shirts anyway.

Walking up to OM&M's bus, I get ready to knock when I hear fighting coming from the inside. Curious, I press my ear up to the door.

"Dammit Austin! I'm fucking paying you to do this. Listen, and listen good. I don't give a flying fuck whether you actually care about Arianna or not. You are going to make her break up with that Alex kid so that she comes running away from the band. Then, when she's alone, you bring her to me. Got it?"

"No! I won't - "

"Did you just fucking refuse me, Austin?"

"N-n-n-o?"

"It sounded like you did! Maybe if your family hadn't fucked up, you wouldn't have to do this right now. But you owe me, so you're going to get it done."

Damn. Whoever this is is really laying into Austin. I don't know exactly what's happening, but I'm pretty damn sure I need to stop it. Making my decision, I burst on the bus.

"Alex? What are you doing? Get out of here!"

"No, Austin. What the fuck is going on? Who is this guy?" I scream, pointing at the man towering over Austin.

"I guess we never were introduced, were we?" The man laughs, kicking Austin once in the head to make him lose consciousness. "The name's Martin."
