Reincarnated

Alex's POV:
My parents left for work early this morning and had no idea that Natalie was over. I quietly leave my room and go downstairs. I couldn't sleep last night after Natalie had fallen asleep. The fact that her parents had left her behind sickens and angers me. They left her like she was nothing to them. After the dream of Clara's father dying, and that I realized Natalie is Clara, history had repeated itself to Natalie. Everything is coming back, the war is returning, and I still do not know who is the enemy. I hear my doorbell ring and I quickly run over and answer. "Where is she?" I let Jack in, "sleeping in my room." "Its 11 am." "Shut up, we slept in till 2 pm once." "True." We go in my kitchen and Jack sits on the counter. "What happened last night?" "I don't think I can tell you." "What do you mean?" "I mean, I don't think Natalie will want other people to know." "We're supposed to protect Natalie, now that we know she's Clara. We still have a duty to the king." "I know, but this is just something that no more people should know. I had a hard time to have her tell me last night and then have her come home with me."

"Okay, I understand. But for now, does she have any place to stay?" "She can stay here for now, but I can't keep her secret from my parents forever. She has to live with someone else." "What do you mean, stay with someone else." I knew I had said to much. "Alex, is there something that we all need to know. Because if this determines where Natalie lives then-" "I can ask Tay if Natalie can live with her. I'm sure she'll say yes." "Alex-" "Just drop it Jack." Jack looks past me and I turn around to see Natalie. "Natalie, when did you get up?" "Not that long ago," she yawns and rubs her eyes. "Hungry?" "Starving." "Want some cereal or Poptarts?" "Both please." I fix her a bowl of cereal and heat up two Poptarts in the toaster along with a glass of OJ. When it was ready I put it on the table in front of her and she stares down at it. "What is it?" "Um. Nothing. Thanks." She starts eating and I pull Jack out into the living room.

"I know something is going on Alex." "I know, but I don't know her full situation." "But we deserve to know what happened last night and why she stayed with you and why she needs a place to stay." Jack walks out and closes the door behind him. He's frustrated with me, but I don't think Natalie will want other people to know. She had a hard enough time to tell me last night. I go back in the kitchen, Natalie was eating slow. I sit down across from her, I couldn't help but stare at her. The first day I saw her, her eyes brought me in. As more days went on, the more her eyes became familiar. She looks nothing like Clara, then again she's not dressed like Clara. "Hey, Natalie." "Yeah?" "What's your full name?" "Why do you want to know?" "Just asking, seeing how you know mine but I don't know your's." "True. Its Natalie Clara Rose." Clara's was Clara Natalie Rose. Just a switch of the two names. But Natalie is Clara. "Look Natalie, I can't have you stay here forever, I know my parents won't like it if I ask them to have a girl live here." "I understand..." "I'm gonna ask my friend Tay, she was at the party last night." "I remember her, she was nice." No wonder Tay was nice to her.

Maybe Tay got her memories back first before us, and she already knew who Natalie was. But that means.... I really gotta talk to Tay.

"Tay don't lie to me, I know you know." "What are you talking about Alex?" "I know your memories came back Taylor." Tay goes silent, confirming my answer. "Tay-" "Yes my memories came back." "When." "Years ago." "How long ago was that?" "When I was 10. It was the same year we met." "You got your memories back when you were 10?" "Witches don't gain their full powers till they are 10 years old, so it makes since that it happened when I was 10." "....Tay. Are you a witch?" "....Yes. I am. When I got my memories back, I swear I didn't know who you were. Why. Because in our past lives, we didn't meet till we were 17. When we got older, I started having dreams of meeting guards in my future. And that's when I realized who you guys were. Fate brought all of us together Alex, I didn't." This is so much to process. "Last night, I noticed you were really friendly with Natalie. Why." "Because I already knew she was Clara. But I needed you four to gain your memories back first. Last night proved to me that you four were about to gain your memories back, when all of you protected Natalie from Oli. Just your past lives when Clara was in danger."

I sit down and hold my head a bit. It all makes since. "Tay. We have a problem." "What's going on?" "Its Natalie, she needs to stay with you." "Alex-" "No questions Tay, I trust you because your one of us and the king trusted your past self. Plus I can't have her stay at mine, and I don't think the guys will let her as well. She needs to stay with a girl." "Okay okay. But Alex." "What?" "I can't protect her forever, I don't have control over my full powers, and once this war starts, I'm not sure I can protect her fully like I once did." "Its okay Tay, we'll make sure history doesn't have to repeat itself." "Have her over in a hour. My parents are away for the week." "Okay, thanks." I hang up and go in my living room, Natalie was watching TV. "Hey, Natalie." Natalie looks up at me, "yeah Alex?" "Tay said you can stay at her house for a while. I haven't told her why though, but she said you can." "Alex-" "I already know my parents are going to freak if I ask them if you can stay here." "Okay..."

I have to make sure that Natalie is fully protected, we don't know who our enemy is, and when this war will start again. But I know all of us are going to fulfill our duty that we still hold.
