25 Signs

Chapter 4 (couldn't think of a name!)

(Heather's POV)

I was currently sitting in Biology class trying my best to follow what the teacher was lecturing but she made absolutely no sense. As I glanced to my right I caught Alex looking in my direction. He was quick to turn his head and again Tay's words played in my head...

"Step two He will stare at you...A lot"

Was I reading his body language right?

What if I was just mistaking his staring for friendly and not more than friends?

A million questions cluttered my thoughts.I didn't even notice that the bell had rang and everyone was leaving out the door to their next class.I quickly got up and hurried out the door to my next class which happened to be music class which I have with Alex.I smiled to myself as he caught up with me.

"Hey Heather sorry I had to grab something before class.Shall we?" He asked as he held his hand out for me to take.

I giggled at his actions and placed my hand in his as we walked to class.

-

"Alright class can I have your attention?" Our teacher asked as everyone stopped their conversing with one another and paid attention to her.

"Thank you.Ok so since I have different period classes you may have already heard from the students who have my class earlier in the day that all students in my class are required to participate in the Talent Competition." She began.

Don't get me wrong I love talent shows I just am afraid I would make a fool of myself in front of the whole school.

"Anyways so you do have the option to choose what you want to do whether it be sing, dance, act, poetry, whatever you want. That is unless you decide to be difficult and try to get out of it.If you don't choose what you want I will pick for you and you will be singing the little tea pot and acting the moves in front of the whole school." She continued making a few of the students chuckle.

"You get my point.Sign up sheets will be available in the Cafetorium and in my class.Next to your name because its already printed on the sheet you will fill out what you're doing and yeah thats really all we need. The show will be held on the very last day of school in the Gymnasium during last period."

"Any Questions?" She asked looking around the room.

A few hands went up.

"Yes Ms.McDougall?" She answered as Jenna raised her hand.

"Are we aloud to be in duets or do we all have to be individual and if we are aloud duets do we both have to be from the same period?" She asked.

"Duets are aloud. No more than three though please and you can be from separate periods." She answered to Jenna.

"What is it Mr Eckes?" She asked as he also raised his hand.

"You said it was a competition so what does the winner get?"

"Well if you show up and do what you're supposed to then you get a passing grade in my class for the year. When I said competition I didn't mean it like that its just a fun thing nobody really wins"

"Anyone else?" She asked and no other hands went up.

"Alright I will set the sign up sheet on the corner of my desk.If you are absolutely ready and positive on what you are going to be doing than you may come up and fill the sheet out."

Only about 4 students walked up and filled it out.I had no idea what I was going to do.There is no way in Hell I would perform a song I wrote about my personal life in front of the whole school.Anyone who would has guts.Everyone would laugh and nobody would understand the words I compose.Maybe Alex but thats only maybe.

-

"So do you have any Idea what you're going to perform for the Talent Competition?" I asked Alex as we were on our way to our lockers since the school day was over.

"I have a few songs laying around I could use what about you?" He asked.

"I have absolutely no idea.I couldn't ever sing a song I wrote personally in front of everybody.Honestly I probably wouldn't even be comfortable singing in front of just you." I responded truthfully.

"You don't have to because I already know you're talented in every way possible." He replied giving me that signature smile that always gives me butterflies.

I couldn't help but blush a little bit and lightly playfully punch his arm.

-

We went our separate ways to our lockers to gather our things.

"Hey Heather us girls were going shopping can you come?" Cassadee asked as her,Tay and Jenna approached my locker.

"Yeah sure I need some new stuff anyways." I responded as I slung my bag over my shoulder and began walking out.

"Be right back." I told the girls as I walked over to Alex's locker where Rian.Jack and Zack along with Alex were.

"Hey Heather" Jack said as he saw me.

"Hey so um I'm going shopping with the girls text me later?" I said to Alex as he nodded.

"Yeah sure." He responded as we hugged.

"Ok I'll see you tomorrow" I commented as I walked back towards the girls who were patiently waiting for me by Jenna's beaten pick up truck.

"Ready?" Jenna asked as we all piled into the truck.

"Yeah lets go." Tay responded as we pulled out of the school parking lot.

Notes

In case you guys haven't noticed I made a few small.. ok big changes to this story so hang on there! I decided I wanted to extend this out to be at least a little longer than I originally was going to make it and so I took out some of the chapters that are more towards the end of the story and replaced them with some freshly written ones! I hope you guys will enjoy it more because of the changes because I feel better as a writer! thank you to everyone who has read/commented/subscribed to this story <33333333

Yeah, I wrote on Mibba before but it's been a minute since I have. Also, being busy with college has put a damper on my inspiration.
But yeah, I know how the feedback thing feels, that's why I always try to leave it on stories I read. :) And thanks, I will let you know if I do! :)

I completely understand where you're coming from when you say you're nervous to put your writing out there. I was the same way when I first started :P My writing is so special to me I feel like when it doesn't get the feedback I want, I get very upset lol. If you ever do decide to post your writing, I'm happy to give it a read and feedback if you'd like. Just shoot me a message and link it to me when/if you do!

Hi there. I'm so happy you saw my comment. :) I'm sorry to hear that you're not really into the story anymore.
I wouldn't really know who to suggest to write for it. I don't feel it would personally be right if I tried writing for it either; while I did really enjoy it, it was your idea. I'm still trying to convince myself to try and start a story, a bit timid when it comes to sharing my writing lately.
But it means a lot that you offered that. But yeah, again, I don't really know who to suggest. But this story was awesome for what you had of it.
Thanks for getting in touch and giving me an update. So many authors I never hear from, so I never know if they see my comment and just don't respond, just don't get on anymore, or what. So it was sweet of you to let me know. And glad to hear you've improved as a writer, that's awesome.
If you ever do see yourself writing ATL fics again, I would be happy to read them. Just let me know. :)

Hello, I apologize for the lack of both updating and replying to your comment. (This is my new account I lost the login info for PLJ)

I would just like to say I think it's absolutely amazing that people are still viewing and commenting on writing I did when I was thirteen years old and it blows my mind to see how much I've improved as a writer in the short three years that it has been since I've posted my work on this site. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for finding this story and leaving your uplifting feedback. Unfortunately, I don't believe there will ever be an ending to this story. I haven't written all time low related fanfiction in over three years and I just don't write like I used to. I can't complete this fic without being in that creative headspace and I've seem to have just lost my desire to write ATL fanfiction.

HOWEVER...

If you (or anyone you know) who enjoys writing and would like to, I am willing to hand this story over to someone who can finish it and give it the glorious ending it deserves. Whoever takes it will be free to change anything they want and completely make it their own without and repercussions from me. I would however ask that I am credited for the idea and given a link to read it when it's finished. If you or any of your writer friends are interested please let me know! :)

So I stumbled across this... and just wanted to leave some feedback since I see it was never completed. I think you did a great job with what you have of it. I'm sad to see it was never finished, though.
If you ever choose to pick it up again someday, I will be here to read the rest of it. I think it has a very sweet plot line, and think it deserves an ending, if you can find the inspiration to write more to it. :)
