Do you want me?
Prologue
-Jack's POV-
"Jaaack time for dinner" My mum called from downstairs.
"I'll just be one sec" I replied as a removed my guitar from my lap and leant it against my wall. I ran down the stairs, missing out the last step, like I always do. I skidded along the cold tiled floor into the kitchen, to see my mum dishing up our food. I ran and sat down at the small table, waiting eagerly for the macaroni and cheese to be served.
"Jack would you get us some drinks?" my mum asked.
I slowly got up again and walked over to the cupboard, producing two glasses from inside.
"What do you want?" I asked my mum.
"I'll just have a water please honey" my mum replied.
I poured two glasses of water and brought them back to the table. I then sat down and started to devour my food.
"Jack, honey?" my mum asked, after we'd finished our meal. "Yes?" I replied.
"Well I've been thinking that at the moment we could do with a bit of extra cash. Soooo I thought we could rent out our spare room." she stated.
"Yeah sure, that sound like a good idea." I said.
"I've already put an advert in the newspaper so I'm glad you don't mind" she said.
-Alex's POV- a few days later...
I couldn't stay at this hotel any longer, I need to find a proper place to stay. Even if it's just a room I'm renting out, actually that's probably all I have the money for. I grabbed the newspaper that was lying on the side and started to flick through. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. And then I saw it:
ROOM FOR RENT

Meals will be provided.

This looks perfect.
-Jack's POV-
I walked home from school, the fresh September breeze lightly brushing my face. I was alone, which was unusual, but Zack and Rian had decided to ditch me for other things today. I didn't really mind it was nice to have some peace and the ability to have my earphones shoved into my ears. I hardly registered that I'd turned down my street because I was so lost in my music.
I entered my house and was about to walk up to my room, when my mum called me; "Jack darling, will you come here for a second?"
"Sure" I replied before quickly dumping my bag in the hallway and walking into the kitchen. My mum was stood at the end of the room preparing some sort of food.
"We've had an applicant for the room." she said.
"Okay that's great" I replied
"I've spoken to him on the phone, his name is Alexander and he seems nice enough" she told me "I think he'll probably come around tomorrow while you're at school, and I'll decide if he's alright to stay then. Is that okay?"
"yeah fine" I said.
I left the kitchen, grabbing an apple on my way out and headed upstairs with my schoolbag.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly excited to meet this 'Alexander' person.
