Stay With Me

I walked inside Jack's house and sighed. I couldn't tell him at his own party, could I? He has so many friends here, and his girlfriend. Surely that would just be mean, but maybe I'll have to. I can't do it over the phone. He might be happy. He did invite me to his party himself. I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a cup of cola. Nothing alcoholic. I sipped it and looked up. Austin was storming towards me and he wasn't happy. I looked at him seriously and suddenly felt like crying.

"What the fuck was that message about, Zandra?!" Austin demanded angrily.

"I'm sorry," I rushed.

"You want to know why I didn't tell you? Because you're not with anyone. I didn't want to hurt you and have you think that she will come before you. She won't! You're one of my closest friends. I thought you knew that," he said quickly.

"I was pissed off, Austin! Leah had just told me, right before I bumped into Jack. I know you think I'm just some messed up girl with a uterus that doesn't even belong to me anymore!"

"Calm down," he sighed.

"Why should I?" I huffed.

"After what you said, Zee, I'm so pissed at you. You obviously don't want me caring for you," he exclaimed.

Austin turned and walked away. I groaned and leant back against the counter.

"Damn it," I said under my breath.

"Hey," Jack said.

I saw him and forced a smile. Brilliant. Can't he just guess I'm pregnant? It can't be that hard to figure it out. He must just think I'm the worlds biggest bitch.

"Hi Jack," I nodded.

"I'm glad you came," he told me.

"Yeah. I haven't seen Leah yet,"

"She's here," he informed me.

"Oh, are things going well?"

"They're okay," he shrugged.

"Don't start like you did last time." I begged.

"I don't want you to get the wrong idea. So I need to tell you something,"

"What?"

"After us Leah is the only woman I've slept with,"

"No men?" I mocked.

"I'm serious, Zandra,"

"Fine," I rolled my eyes.

"Have you been with any other guys?" he asked and I shook my head.

"You were my last," I explained.

"I really should sort myself out,"

"You should," I agreed.

"But I won't,"

"You won't," I echoed.

"Because when I see you I can't help myself,"

"Jack, I need to tell you something," I told him.

I sighed and inhaled deeply. He was looking at me curiously now. I bit down on my lip and he groaned. I looked down but felt him lift my chin up to look at him. He smiled softly. Then Jack was leaning in. My lips touched his. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck. I was pulled close to him and I felt the kiss heat up, like the night we slept together.

"Jack!" we heard someone call.

I pulled away and we both turned. Framed in the doorway of the kitchen was Leah. She was glaring daggers at us both. "How could you?!" she spat. "And with her,"

"Leave her alone," Jack warned.

"I'm sorry," I tried.

"You should be," she hissed. Then Leah walked away. I ran to follow her. Jack followed me and we stopped in the sitting room. Leah was by Alex who was in charge of the music. She pulled the socket out of the plug and there was silence. People started to complain but she shhhed them.

"What's she doing?" Jack asked me.

"Don't know," I shrugged.

"Sorry!" Leah called shrilly. "I just had a funny story I needed to share. Once upon a time there was a woman who was a massive whore. She slept with a guy then got herself pregnant. Then she stole my boyfriend even though he wasn't hers to take. Even though she's pregnant!" Leah exclaimed.

"Oh God," I muttered.

"She's just a big, fat whore! I won't mention names . . . Zandra. Oh whoops," she smiled nastily.

"No," I nearly cried.

"You're pregnant?" Jack asked in my ear.

"Did I blow your little secret?" Leah giggled.

I was engulfed by people. I looked up and saw faces. Austin was hugging me. Katelynne was close to me. Kellin was standing behind her and Alan was near me looking confused.

"Get her the fuck out!" Alan called.

Alex and Zack were trying to escort Leah out. But she was refusing.

"Leave, Leah," Kellin ordered.

"I found her kissing Jack, Kellin!" Leah told him.

"What?" Kellin asked weakly.

"Sorry, Kels," Jack muttered.

"Just go," he sighed.

"No," she refused.

Kellin went to her and grabbed her arm. He pushed her into the hall and they disappeared.

"Do you want me to go fuck her up?" Alan asked.

"What?" I muttered.

"For saying that bullshit. Fucking bitch,"

"Alan," I tried.

But I couldn't. I starter crying loudly. Sobs were racking my chest and I felt physically sick.

"Stop. No one believes her," Alan told me gently.

"She's right," I said, my arms still wrapped around Austin.

"What?"

"I'm pregnant," I told them.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Jack. He was pale and looked like he was barely able to stand. Oh no.
