Stay With Me

I did something naughty and went behind Jack's back for my scan. I never told him. Or at least I did after I'd had the scan. So he was really moody and never spoke to me for two days. I was getting bored of his mood, I'm supposed to be the one that's hormonal after all. So I pretended I went into labour. I shouted him and he took five minutes to walk into my room. So he obviously doesn't love me like Steph said.
Jack is now speaking to me but was extremely pissed off that I pranked him. This pissed off-ness was only heightened when an ambulance showed up. Whoops. I stand by what I did though.

I have decided to ring Kate though. I don't want anyone else being pissed off with me. I held the phone to my ear and waited as it rang through.

"Zee, why haven't you been calling me?!" Kate answered.

"I'm calling you now," I said.

"Are you okay? Do you need me?"

"No, I'm fine," I laughed. I'm telling you, multiple personalities.

"Jack told Kellin what happened with Steph,"

"Oh yeah," I grumbled.

"Are you together?" she asked excitedly.

"No, I don't like him, Kate," I sighed. Not much, anyway. "And he doesn't like me like that,"

"He must have liked you a little," she giggles.

"Grow up, Kate," I rolled my eyes. "Anyway, I need to tell you something,"

"Oh, me too,"

"You go first," I urged.

"Dad's back on U.S. soil. But him and Mum aren't on speaking terms,"

"Again," I muttered. "So, I've decided to keep the baby,"

"You've," she said.

"Sorry, we've,"

"What?"

"Jack and I have decided that when the baby is born we're going to keep it, not give it up for adoption. We're going to raise the baby," I explained.

"That's brilliant, Zee!" she exclaimed. "You sure? It'll be hard,"

"I've been thinking, and I just can't give them away. It'll be tough, I know. But other people do it. You see it on sixteen and pregnant all the time,"

"Hmm," she mumbled.

"I'm sure, Kate," I reassured her.

"Okay, then. As long as you're happy,"

"I am, I promise," I nodded. My phone started bleeping and I frowned. "I'll call you later. I have another call coming,"

"Okay, talk later," Kate said and I hung up on her. I pressed a button and frowned into my phone.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hi Zandra. It's Zack,"

"Oh hey," I said lightly.

"Can you come to Alex's?" he asked anxiously.

"Um why?"

"Alex and Rian are in a fight about Jack's ex and he's asking for you,"

"Give me five minutes," I sighed.

I grabbed my bag and went to the front door. I got out and took the elevator down. I saw Jack's car and decided to take it. I got inside and drove towards Alex's apartment.

When I got there I pulled up outside. I went inside and made my way up to his floor. His door was open and I walked inside. When I reached the sitting room I stopped. What the fucking hell is going on here? Alex is standing breathing heavily as he glared at Rian who was doing the same but on the opposite side of the room. Standing around them was Jack, Zack, Cassadee and Lisa.

"You bastard!" Alex called across the room to Rian.

"You're a prick!" Rian yelled back. "It's your fault!"

"No, you idiot! It's yours!" everyone was looking really worried now.

"Why are you shouting?!" I yelled. Everyone turned to look at me.

"It's nothing to do with you, Zee!" Alex spat.

"What's going on?" I asked Cass.

"From what I gather something about Steph and it being someone's fault. But he's ignoring me, he won't talk go me," she told me anxiously.

"You're a spineless dick! And you deserve every punch you get! No wonder chicks cheat on you!" Rian spat. Alex glared back. Rian seems to be forgetting Alex has been with the same girl forever.

"I'll kill you!" Alex screamed. And he pulled a gun out of his back pocket. There was an intake of breath. I felt a bad cramp in my stomach but ignored it.

"Fucking hell," Jack muttered. "Put it down!" he yelled.

"No," Alex shook his head violently. I don't even know where he got the gun from.

"Please, Alex. Don't hurt him," Cass begged, she was crying too.

"Listen to her," Lisa urged. Rian had moved so she was hidden behind a dividing wall.

"Jack, do something!" I snapped. Jack jumped forward at Alex. But in the space between Jack's arms Alex pulled the trigger and there was a bang. I heard Rian drop to the floor.

"Shit," I mumbled under my breath. The cramps in my stomach were getting unbearable now. I couldn't act on them though, Alex just shot Rian! I rushed over to Rian with all of the others. Rian was lying on the floor with a patch of blood on his shirt.

"He's dead! You killed him!" Cass screamed. She was sobbing and crying all over Rian. "I didn't even get to marry him! You killed him!"

"What have you done?" Jack fumed. He had Rian up again a wall. I was leaning against a wall and breathing heavily too. This isn't happening. "He's dead," Jack whispered.

But I heard laughing. Alex was laughing hard. So was Rian - wait what? Rian was sat up and grinning at everyone.

"You idiot!" Cass screamed angrily.

"Hey, I'm not dead!" Rian declared.

"Well, I guessed that!" she growled.

"It was a joke," Alex told us. "To get Zee back for the prank she pulled on Jack," he exclaimed.

"It was horrible!" Lisa hissed.

"Come on," Alex tried.

"She's right!" Cass spat.

"Babe," Rian tried.

"Don't even bother! And sleep here tonight, I don't want you near me!" she declared before she marched out of the apartment with Lisa right behind her.

I meanwhile was in absolute agony. I could barely stand now the pains were so bad. "Guys!" I gasped.

"What's wrong?" Jack rushed. He ran over to me and wrapped an arm around me.

"Cramps," I breathed out.

"Shit. Call an ambulance!" he yelled at someone. "Keep breathing," he told me. But it was too late. My legs gave way and everything went black.


I woke up before I opened my eyes. I could hear voices. There were a lot of voices too. "I'm not allowing this many people around the bed!" someone shouted.

"Please," I heard Kate say.

"There's more of us," Alan yelled.

"Well, only Kate and Kellin are actual family," Alex said.

"We're staying," Kellin added.

"And Austin, Alan and I are good friends with Zee," Alex went on. "We can stay,"

"You?" Rian laughed. "She yelled at you,"

"She yelled at you too,"

"Shut up," I heard Zack put in.

"I'm staying! She's carrying my child," Jack said. I heard someone make an irritated sound before they walked away.

"At least she's gone," Alex said.

I opened my eyes and saw them all. Kate. Kellin. Alex. Zack. Rian. Alan. Austin. Jack. Cass. Even Lisa. "What the hell?" I asked. They all looked at me and smiled brightly.

"You're awake," Kate rushed. "Thank God,"

"What happened?"

"You were under too much stress," Jack explained.

"Wonder why," Zack said dryly.

"But the baby is fine," Jack rushed.

"Really?"

"You're both okay," Alan told me.

"When can I get out?"

"Tomorrow," Austin confirmed.

"Sorry," Alex told me.

"It's okay," I shrugged.

"No, it's not!" Kate rushed. Kellin rubbed her shoulders and frowned.

"It is. I'm fine," I smiled.

Then the conversation turned casual. Slowly people began to leave. Kellin took Kate to cool off outside and have some tea - which I believe is true, Kate looks like she's going to kill someone. Alan and Austin left to go record - which is also true because they apparently walked out earlier when Jack called them. Rian and Cass went to talk - which is a complete lie, they're either arguing or having make up sex. And finally Alex and Lisa left to sort things - I honestly don't know if that's true.

It left only Jack and myself. "Did you have something to do with the shooting?" I narrowed my eyes.

"No!" he exclaimed. "Anyway, I need to go too. I'll come back later though," he promised.

"Okay," I nodded. Jack came over and I thought he went to kiss me. But it changed into a hug. He doesn't love me.

"Bye Jack," he said and rubbed my stomach.

"I'm not naming my baby after you!" I refused.

"Whatever," Jack shrugged. "Either way it'll be a Barakat," and he went to leave me. The sad thing is that that's true.

"Bye," I said and turned around. Before he walked out he gave me a look. I didn't know what the look meant. It wasn't sad, or confused, or easy. It actually scared me a little.
