She woke up to Alex moving in closer and softly placing a kiss on her lips. She rubbed her eyes and looked at him, and he smiled.
"Morning" he whispered.
"Morning" she answered and stretched out a little.
"So what are you going to do today?" he asked.
"No work, nothing to do. Maybe go for a walk with blossom" she said.
"I have a few hours to spare, can I come with you?" he asked. She looked at him and then she smiled.
"If you want to, sure" she said.
"Good, because I feel like I’ve been treating you like an ass lately and I want to spend time with you, and Tigerlily" Alex said.
"Well you’ve been an ass, but I’ve been a bit jealous as well" Max confessed.
"And you have every reason to be… She’s my ex and suddenly she’s in our house and all… I’m sorry" he said.
"It’s okay, I know it’s only work anyway" she said and looked into his eyes.

Max took one of Alex tees and put on her new ripped jeans, and then she took one of Alex beanies.
"Want to have my shoes as well?" Alex teased and grinned at her. She laughed and shook her head, and put on her boots. Tigerlily clapped her hands and reached out for Max, and Max picked her up.
"Come on Blossom, let’s show papa how beautiful the park can be in the summer" Max said.
"Fuck" Alex said when he accidentally kicked one of his shoes away and almost tripped.
"Alex, watch your language" Max laughed.
"What? It’s not like she will learn how to say fuck and go around and say it" he chuckled and looked at Tigerlily.
"Fuck" she said and both Max and Alex froze. She said it. Her first word after mama and papa was fuck. Fuck of all words.
"Shit" Alex whispered.
"Alex" Max hissed and looked at him.
"Shit" Tigerlily said and clapped her hands. Alex bit his lip and tried not to laugh, and Max just stared at Tigerlily with wide eyes. Their daughter was learning her first words and it was fuck, and shit.

Jack thought it was hilarious as they sat around the kitchen table eating dinner. He had invited himself but Max and Alex didn’t mind. It was fun with more people around the table. Then Max phone went off and when she looked at the screen she saw that it was en english number. She wondered who it could be and pressed the green button.
"Hi, this is Max" she said and looked at the confused Alex. Even he knew that she never answered her phone like that.
"Hi, my name is Charles McDouglas, I am the lawyer of your grandmother" he said and Max got a bit confused.
"My grandmother? Which one?" she asked.
"Your fathers mother" he said.
"Oh, that grandmother" Max said and her shoulders sank. Since she moved away with her mother her grandmother stopped talking to them.
"Well Elise would like you to come to England, so she could meet her great granddaughter" Charles said.
"She want me to what?" Max said and almost choked on her dinner.
"Ms Clayton, your grandmother is dying and her last wish is to see her great granddaughter" he said.
"Mrs Gaskarth, I’m a married woman now and why would she want that? It’s not like I talk to her" Max said and both Jack and Alex stared at her.
"You are the only one she would like to inherit her money" Charles said. This time Max choked on her food and Alex jolted up to help her. Max waved him off and coughed.
"She wants me to what?" Max said.
"If she can meet her great granddaughter you will inherit all her money, as an apology for neglecting you as her granddaughter" Charles said.
"Okay…" Max said and just stared at Tigerlily.
"Will you come?" Charles said.
"Well I guess it wouldn’t hurt for Tigerlily to meet her" Max said.
"Meet who?" Jack asked.
"Good, if you do you will inherit all her money" he said.
"What about my father? Will he inherit something?" Max asked.
"He and his new wife will inherit her house and lands, but you will get the money" Charles said.
"Bella and George got married?" Max asked and felt sick.
"About a month ago, that was the only condition Elise had on your father" Charles said.
"I will take Tigerlily to England and I will let her meet Elise" Max said.
"Good, please bring your husband as well if you can, because there’s a lot of money we’re talking about" Charles said.
"How much are we talking about? You make it sounds like there’s a few million" Max asked.
"20 million pounds Mrs Gaskarth" Charles said and Max fell off her chair. Alex jolted up again and helped her up.
"Well have a good night Mrs Gaskarth, and I do hope we get to see you soon" he said. Max stayed on the floor and looked up at the ceiling.
"What is going on?" Alex asked.
"My grandmother Elise is dying and wants me to inherit all her money, on the condition that she gets to meet you and Tigerlily" Max said.
"I guess it’s a lot of money" Jack said and looked at her.
"20 million pounds" Max said.
"What?" Alex gasped and stared at her.
"How much is that?" Jack asked.
"Like… 32 million dollars" Alex said after counting on his fingers.
"What?!" Jack gasped.

Alex held Tigerlily as they walked off the plane. It was weird to be back in England once again when Max had promised herself that it would take a long time before she ever came back here.
"Let’s go see this grandmother of yours" Alex said. Max nodded and suddenly felt so nervous. Alex stroked her arm and smiled.
"It will be okay, I promise" he said.
"And what if it turns out to be a catastrophe?" Max asked.
"It won’t, I will charm her" Alex said.
"Good luck with that" Max said and shook her head.

They walked in to the hospital and met Charles. He smiled and told them which room they should walk in to. Max nodded and lifted up Tigerlily, and they walked over to the room before they knocked on the door.
"Come on in" the familiar voice said. Alex opened the door and Max walked in and saw a tiny little lady, hooked up to machines. She looked tired yet she still looked the same as the last time she saw her.
"Maxine" she said and gave her a fake smile.
"Grandmother" Max said.
"And you must be her husband, and this must be your… daughter" she said and looked at Tigerlily.
"This is Tigerlily" Max said.
"Tigerlily? What kind of name is that?" Elise asked.
"We wanted Lily, but when she was born she was more of a Tigerlily" Max said. Alex nodded and smiled.
"And may I ask… What is your name son?" she asked.
"My name is Alexander, Alex for short, Gaskarth" he said.
"And Alex, what do you do for a living?" she asked and looked at him.
"I’m a musician, I travel the world and make music for a living" Alex said and he sure showed he was proud of it.
"How can you support Max if you’re on the road all the time?" she asked.
"Grandmother, just so you know you don’t have a saying about my life" Max said.
"Of course I have" she snapped and looked at Max.
"No you don’t, you ignored me for 15 years" Max snapped back.
"So you’re just here for the money?" she asked.
"I don’t want you money, not for you to feel better by yourself. I don’t need it" Max said and Alex looked at her.
"You don’t want them? Then why are you here?" Elise asked.
"Because I’m not a heartless person, of course you could meet Tigerlily and Alex, but I don’t want your pity money because you’re suddenly sorry for neglecting me for 15 years… I don’t want that" Max said and shook her head.
"Then what can I do to make you accept them?" she asked.
"If you really want to give me the money you have to come up with a better reason than just a stupid apology" Max said and glared at her.
"You might not like this reason… but what if I give it to her? To your daughter, as a safe insurance that she will get a good life? If Alex career never make it good for her, or you can’t do good for her either?" she asked.
"So the new reason would be to help Tigerlily? Because we might not be able to?" Alex asked, a bit offended.
"Yes, I’m not too happy bout my granddaughter being with a musician. But if I can help with my money I would feel better" she said.
"Okay then" Alex said.
"Alex" Max said and looked at him.
"What? She wants to help Tigerlily. It’s no longer an apology, but her doing something for someone she’s only met for a few minutes… Give her a chance" Alex said. Max looked at him and then she nodded.
"Fine… I will only accept them if they go to Tigerlily" Max said.
"Good, then we’re on the same page" Elise said.
"Tigerlily, meet Elise. Your great grandmother" Max said and smiled at Tigerlily.
