She took some pictures of them while they prepared and danced backstage. Max had actually come to like being with the band and take pictures of them and she would love to continue doing it. There was a lot of feelings that you could capture the moment of, and just expressions you normally wouldn’t see.
"WHO ARE WE?" Rian called out.
"SEXY BASTARDS" Jack yelled.
"WHO ARE WE?" Rian tried again.
"ALL TIME LOW" they all yelled and after that they entered the stage. The crowd cheered and screamed, and the familiar sound to Canals began. Max smiled and put her earplugs in and walked in between the crowd and the stage. Snapping pictures of the fans crying, singing and dancing. She took picture of Jack running around on stage and having a good time. Zack’s goofy smile and head nodding to the beats, and Alex sining. He winked and she laughed when some of the girls behind her screamed.

Max walked back backstage and stretched her tired back. Even if she loved being a photographer she quickly got tired in her back, and right now she craved for a coffee.
"Hey Martin, where can I find some coffee?" she asked, when she found Boys Like Girls in their dressing room.
"I don’t think they have any" he said and looked at her.
"What? I crave some coffee right now" she said and sighed.
"Go down to Starbucks down the street" Morgan said.
"I think I’ll do that" Max said and looked at her phone. It was still enough time to go get a coffee before they closed.
"Don’t get lost" Martin winked and she rolled her eyes.

"Can I have a caramel macchiato please?" Max asked.
"And your name is?" the boy behind the bar asked.
"Her name is Max" someone to her left said and when she looked to see who it was she saw a pair of familiar eyes. The man from Portland. Except this time he was looking rather different. His hair was black and short, and not the brown messy from before. She stared at him.
"Max then" the boy said and wrote it down. Max stared at the an next to her and didn’t know what to do.
"I’m Charlie, it’s nice to see you again" he said and smiled. Max shivered and just stared at him.
"Max, caramel macchiato" someone called and she hurried over to get her coffee. She was just about to run out from the coffee shop when Charlie grabbed her arm.
"I will be in every shadow, behind every corner… until I finally get to you" he whispered before he let her go. She gasped and hurried outside, and hurried back to the venue. But she didn’t stop there. She continued to run away. Away from the Starbucks.
"Hey, wasn’t that Max, Alex fiancé?" she heard someone say as she passed the front door to the venue.
"I think it is" someone else said, as Max rounded the corner. She stopped outside the hotel and took deep breaths. Her black and white jeans was drenched in her caramel macchiato. So was her black shirt.
"No wonder my skin is burning" she whispered and looked at herself, and walked inside and took the elevator up to their room.

Coming out of the shower she was still shaky from the meeting before. Her eyes was shot wide open and she looked scared. Pale and her lips was pressed together in disbelief. She didn’t want to believe that it had been him. The man from Portland. A man named Charlie. But his last word echoed through her head, over and over again.
"Are you okay?" someone asked and she let out a small shriek. She looked to her left and she saw Zack. He looked at her, a bit concerned.
"You don’t look so fine" he said and glanced out to the others. Then he walked in and closed the door.
"Did something happen tonight?" he asked, almost a whispering. She was glad he was discrete.
"I thought I saw someone today, and… I don’t know" she said and Zack looked at her.
"Someone reminded you of… someone else?" he asked.
"Something like that" she said and nodded. Alex opened the door and he looked surprised to see them both inside there. Max really scared and Zack with crossed arms, looking worried.
"What did you do to her?" Alex asked and looked at Zack.
"Nothing, I just asked her what was wrong" Zack said.
"What did he do?" he asked and looked at Max.
"Nothing, he did really only ask what was wrong" Max said and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked tired now.
"What did happen?" Alex asked and looked at her. She looked at him.
"The man from Portland, the one you drove away… I met him today at Starbucks" she said. She swallowed and looked at Alex reaction.
"Starbucks? When did you go there?" he asked.
"While you were playing, and I met him there" she said.
"You did?" Jack said and popped up behind Alex.
"Did he say something?" Alex asked and crossed his arms.
"His name is Charlie, and… and… He’s going to hide in every shadow, around every corner until he finally gets to me" she whispered and shivered. Alex looked at her and he saw that she was upset and scared.
"What is that on your shoulder?" Rian asked and also appeared in the door. Max closed her eyes and let out a sigh, before she removed the hair from her back and both Rian and Zack stared at her.
"It’s a scar from when I was young, and my father poured boiling water over me" she said.
"Oh" Zack said and nodded.
"I’m sorry" Rian said and looked a bit guilty.
"Don’t be, it’s in the past" she said and smiled.
"Okay, to something else then" Jack said and looked at Max. The others looked at him and wondered what he wanted to have said.
"All in favor of not letting Max be alone, up with your hand" he said, and they all raised their hands.
"Come one guys, I’ll be fine" she said.
"All in favor or Max being wrong about that" Alex said and they all raised their hands again.
"And all in favors of going to get something to eat" Matt said and appeared as well, and even Max raised her hand this time.
