Hiding in the hotel

She let out a heartbreaking cry and fell back, and landed on her bum. Million of possible outcomes ran through her mind at the moment and she started to cry.
"Oh don’t cry honey" he said and crouched next to her.
"LEAVE HER ALONE" a familiar voice yelled and pushed the guy away. Max looked up and saw, to her surprise, that Matt stood there.
"Flyzik?" she whispered and he looked down on her.
"Are you okay?" he asked and helped her up on her feet. She nodded and saw the man running in the other direction, away from them.
"How did you know I was here?" Max asked and looked at him.
"Believe it or not but Alex prepared this" he said and sighed. He picked up her phone and showed her a new app that someone had installed.
"Alex installed it the other day, if you ever wanted to go through town by yourself. With that he would always know where you are" he said.
"So it’s kinda… like ‘find my iPhone’?" she asked and he nodded.
"He didn’t want you to get lost or anything, and I’m glad he did… Who knows what would have happened if he didn’t ask me to go and meet you" he said.
"Thank you" she said and sighed in relief.
"Let’s get you back to the hotel" he said and gave her a small smile.
"I don’t think I want to go to the venue" she said as they walked towards the hotel.
"I can understand that" he said, and just like that someone called. He answered and it seemed like it was Alex.
"No, she will stay at the hotel. Tired from the long day" he said and looked at Max. She smiled a little, thankful for him not causing Alex to worry.

She took a shower and changed into her big dip dye sweater and her pajamashorts. Her hair was damp but she didn’t care. She laid herself down on the bed and curled up under the fluffy duvet. Feeling her heart race and feeling afraid. Not for anything that could happen. But for the things that would have, if Matt hadn’t found her. She closed her eyes and tried to relax but couldn’t. Her heart was racing too fast, still pumping out adrenaline. And even if it felt like minutes later suddenly Alex appeared before her and she let out a small shriek.
"Hush, it’s just me" he said and looked at her surprised. She teared up and took deep breaths.
"You scared me" she whispered and he looked at you.
"What happened?" he asked, when he realized that she hadn’t just been tired. She looked at him and he looked back, and then she looked away.
"Thank you for installing that app on my phone, if Matt had gotten there any minute later I don’t know what would have happened" she said. He just stared at her and his eyes grew wide.
"What happened?" he asked and got down on the bed next to her. She looked at him and then she told him about the man and how she had tried to escape him, and how Matt had gotten there just in time. Alex hushed her and wrapped his arms around her.
"It’s okay, you’re safe" he whispered and kissed her forehead.

Max opened up her eyes the morning and to her surprise Alex still had his arms around her. Except she was lying on her back and he on her chest, hugging her lightly. She looked to her left and to her surprise it was around ten in the morning. She never slept late and when she moved a little Alex muttered. She stroked his hair and yawned, and looked at the door which opened. Jack and Matt popped their heads inside and they stared at them.
"You two are still sleeping?" Matt said.
"Well look at the lovey dovey couple" Jack teased and Alex opened up his eyes. He looked at them with narrowed, tired, eyes and then he glanced up at Max.
"CAn you give me and hour or two, I like it here" he said and nuzzled in more to her chest.
"Well yeah, every guy loves to sleep on titties Alex, but we have to go" Jack said.
"Why?" Alex muttered and yawned.
"Because if we don’t go soon we won’t make it in time to San Francisco" Matt said.
"I hate you guys" Alex said and sat up.

Half an hour later Max sat in the front lounge and looked out. The others was carrying gear from the venue and Max guarded the bus “with her life”. She sighed and walked over and sat down on the bus driver’s seat, looked out towards the street and managed to see a familiar face. The man from yesterday. He was staring right at her and when she noticed him he smiled and waved. Only about a meter from the bus and she hadn’t noticed him. Slowly she picked up her phone and pressed down on Alex name, and the speaker.
"You do know I’m just outside" he said with a chuckle.
"the man from yesterday is standing in front of the bus, staring at me" she said, and kept on staring into his creepy eyes.
"he’s what?" Alex said and sounded surprised. Seconds later Alex and Matt appeared in front of the bus and Matt nodded when Alex asked him something.
"Hey you, what do you want?" Alex said, and Max swallowed. The man said something and Alex just looked at him, and then he looked angry.
"Just get away from here, your blocking the bus" Alex said.
"But I just want to speak to her" he said and pointed at me.
"You want to speak with Max? Why?" Alex asked.
"Max, is that her name?" he asked.
"What do you want with her?" Alex asked.
"I just want her to understand that I think she’s really beautiful, and that I would love to get to know her" he said. She shivered and felt even more afraid than before.
"Oh I’m sorry, but I don’t want you to talk to her" Alex said.
"And why is that?" the man asked and finally looked away from her and at Alex.
"Because she happens to be my fiancé and I don’t like that you are talking about her like that" he said and crossed his arms. The man looked surprised and looked up at Max. He looked hurt and broken, and he just stared at her before he suddenly turned around and ran away. Alex looked up at Max who stared after the man and when she looked at him they looked at each other for a short moment, before Alex and Matt continued to carry the gear.
