We drove to Alice’s house so she could pack in a daze. My hearing was only just recovering from her reaction to the news. Jack was already on his way to the venue, where me and Alice would join him and the rest of the band for the last date. I was pretty calm considering, maybe the news hadn’t fully sunken in. I had no idea what to expect from tonight, let alone the US tour. And Jack was yet to explain what it was exactly me and Alice were supposed to be doing, or what was happening in the days before the tour started. I was excited, sure. But I was finding it hard to get past my nervousness. I’m not like Alice, she’s gorgeous and confident. She can talk to anyone. Me? Calling me plain would be generous. And I am probably the most socially awkward person on the planet. Ever.

We pulled up in front of the venue, it was massive. And what was even bigger was the queue of girls waiting outside. Me and Alice looked at each other. What were we getting ourselves into? I pulled my phone out, dialling Jack’s number.
“Ew, what do youuu want?” I could hear the smile in his voice.
“Aw, love you too! We’re outside” Jack chuckled and Alice gave me a strange look.
“You know I do, wait there I’ll come find you.” I could hear his breathing quicken as he ran, staying on the phone. I looked around for a back entrance, failing to find one. But it didn’t matter; Jack came straight out of the front doors sending the girls into a gooey eyed, fan girly state. He didn’t even look at them, beaming at us he waved us over.
“Hello stranger” I said with a smile. I stood in front of him, not sure how to greet him with everyone watching. I didn’t know how these things worked with a high profile musician. He didn’t hesitate in pulling me into a tight hug, hugging Alice too. I glanced over at the queue. If looks could kill.
“C’mon, the guys are dying to see you.” Jack said, winking at Alice. She smiled in return, it was too cute. We followed him back inside, he put his arm around my waist lightly and I couldn’t help but blush. Alice looked at me with a goofy grin, making a heart shape with her hands. I poked my tongue out at her and jokingly hit her in the stomach. Jack looked at us and shook his head, not bothering to ask what we were up to.

Once inside, we followed Jack down a series of hallways. There were people rushing around everywhere. A few would greet Jack as we walked passed them and some even greeted me. We got to the end of one hallway and I could hear the guys laughing about something. Jack swung open the door and they all went quiet.
“Fancy seeing you here?!” Alex joked with a grin, moving forward to hug me. I chuckled.
“Strange shit right?” I hugged him back. Obviously Alice went straight for Zack. They didn’t say anything to each other. They stood looking, smiling at each other before embracing tightly. They were so intense. Rian appeared out of what I assumed was a shower room. He saw Alice and Zack and turned, raising his eyebrows at me with a slight smile. I shrugged with a grin.
“Hey kiddo.” He came over and hugged me tightly. Jack spoke up from behind us, speaking to the boys.
“Right, get your shit together ladies. It’s bout time we left. I looked at him in confusion.
“Meet and greet.”

Me and Alice looked at each other. So the fun begins.
