Laura's POV
Planning this wedding has been a bitch. But I'm pretty sure it will pay off. At least that's what I'm telling myself as I pace around this little room in a white gown.
"Laura will you sit down so I can finish your hair and makeup already!" An exasperated Cassadee says to me.
"Sorry Cass. I'm just so nervous."
"I know. But this day will be perfect. I promise."
"Oh thank you so much for everything again Cass!"
"You're welcome hon."
She hugs me as I stand and breathe deeply in front of the mirror.
"Now, I've got the ring, so don't worry about that. You have your vows, right?"
"Yep. Oh my gosh, I'm getting married."
She laughs. "Yes, that's definitely happening right now. It's time to go."
I stand and walk quickly to the doors. I'm ready for this, right? I still can't believe it. Marrying a rock star. Who I'm in a band with. Who was my first, and will forever be my only date, kiss, everything. Cass grabs Rian's arm, and they throw open the door and step out. A few beats later in the song, Jack follows with the ring. Then it's Alex, still not happy about spreading flower petals, but willing to do it for his best friends. Then Matt grabs my arm and starts to lead me out. That's when it becomes real. When I step outside and see him. The love of my life, waiting for me.
I almost have to stop myself from sprinting down the aisle. But I'm also happy Matt's holding my arm, because I think I might otherwise pass out. Too soon, I'm up at the front, holding hands with Zack. We go through the written part, blah, blah, blah. Then it's Zack's turn for the vows, mine, and then.....we'll be married.
"Laura-boo. My beautiful girl. You know from experience that I could stand here and go on for hours about all sorts of the wonderful things about you. How intelligent you are. How you don't take crap from anyone, even me. And always, how much I love you. It's cheesy. It's cliche. But it's true. There are no words that can completely sum up how much you mean to me. So forever it is."
Well there goes not crying. For both of us, from the look of it. I take a deep breath before I start my vows.
"Zack. I'm not a person of many words. But when it comes to you, I'm left completely speechless. Through everything, you're there. When I love you, you're there. When I get so mad at you, you're still there, god help you. But, no matter what's going on, there is always going to be one fact for me. One thing that is always true. And that is you, and our love. Forever, Zacky. Forever."
I lean up, just like New Year's Eve, and we kiss.
"Mr. and Mrs. Zachary Steven Merrick, everyone."
