This day couldn't have come soon enough. This morning had been hell, getting ready, getting into he dress, getting my hair and make up professionally done. Anything out of place had to be addressed to me, and honestly, I didn't care if one flower arrangement didn't match the others. When I was waiting outside the ceremony, to walk in, I swear my heart was going to pop out of my chest. This was it. I was going to pledge myself to Jack forever, and vice versa.

Everything that had happened over the years between us ran through my mind and looking back, I know it doesn't matter. We're still here. We're still together, as it should be.

“That's our cue honey.” My Dad said, and I took a deep breath, grabbing his arm.
“Here we go.” I sighed.
“Remember, today is your day.” He assured, and I smiled.
“Thanks, Dad.”

We walked in, me holding up my skirt since the last thing I needed was to trip. I kept my head high, walking in confidence, even if I was nervous as hell. When my eyes went to Jack's, I nearly lost myself. He looked...amazing. Everything about this just made him shine more in my eyes. The way he was clearly frozen at seeing me, the small tears forming, few escaping, just made me feel like the queen of the world.

When my dad gave me away, the priest went on the usual wedding reading. We wanted to keep this simple, and easy. Jack's hands squeezed my own when it got closer to when we were going to say out vows, and I bit my lip with a smile. I was probably really red now, just from the way Jack has been looking at me this whole time. I felt myself wanting to cry, the happiness in me just bursting up more and more as this went on.

“Jack, repeat after me.” The priest said, and Jack nodded. Still not looking away from me. “I, Jack, take you Ember, to be my wedded wife.”

“I, Jack, take you Ember, to be my wedded wife.” Jack repeated, smile seeming to get bigger.
“To have and to hold, from this day forward.”
“To have and to hold, from this day forward.” I felt tears well up as Jack spoke.”
“For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part.”
“For....” Jack took a deep breath and continued. “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part.”

“Now, Ember. Repeat after me.” The priest said, and took me a minute to swallow down a joyful sob and nod.

“I, Ember, take you Jack, to be my wedded husband.” The priest spoke so confidently, in comparison to my small voice as I repeated.

“I, Ember, take you Jack, to be my wedded husband.”

“To have and to hold from this day forward.”
“To have and to hold from this day forward.” Jack squeezed my hands tighter, and I realized I was tearing up even more, but smiling all the same.
“For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part.”
“For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer....” I took a deep breath, fighting back the water in my eyes, and speaking a little better with each condition. “In sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part.”

“May we have the rings?” The priest asked. Once they were brought up, Jack and I put them on each other, before waiting for the priest.

“Jack, do you accept Ember's vow and wish for her to be your wife?” The priest asked, and Jack nodded as he said.
“I do.”
“And do you, Ember, accept Jack's vow and wish for him to be your husband?”
“I do.” I said, starting to feel jittery. Dammit I was just so happy this was happening.
“Well than, I pronounce you to be man and wife!” I started to bounce on my toes and before he could even complete 'You may now kiss the bride' I was wrapping my arms around Jack's neck and tugging him to my height to connect our lips.

Jack smiled and pressed against me harder, arms wrapping around to lift me to his height instead as the hall around us erupted into cheers and hollers. When we pulled away, Jack was quick to wipe away my tears that were flowing freely now.

“I love you, so much.” He mumbled, and I just cried more.
“I love you too.”
“We still have to get to the party.”
“I know.” I grabbed his hand, so we could walk down together. “To the barhopping.”

Jack laughed, and we walked out, our parties following behind us, and the guests getting ready to go to the reception. Once we were outside, Adam stopped us to take some pictures. Everyone was talking and were excited. As guests came out, they congratulated Jack and I. We got hugs, we saw so many different tears, it was just. Amazing.

“Have I mentioned how beautiful you look?” Jack asked, when we were posing for a photo alone.
“The way you smiled when I walked in told me that.”
“Well, you do.” He leaned down and kissed me. Sure enough, there was a flash of a camera. “I almost want to skip the reception and see what's under that dress.”
“You'll never change.” I chuckled. “Come on, I planned this bar route just for you, let's go.”

“Ember!” Alex showed up beside us as we all started to walk, hugging me. “You look wonderful!”
“Thanks, you clean up well too.” I teased, and he shook his head, getting into step with us.
“I wanna see the ring!” Cass complained, and I laughed showing her. “Ohhh, pretty.”

We all continued like this, talking and such about everything that literally just happened. Jack and I kept giving each other looks, just both of us knowing, we were happier than ever now.

“You know,” Jack started, when we were at the last bar right before the reception, none of us getting too drunk. Yet. “You totally ruined my kissing plan.”
“Oh?” I asked, chuckling.
“I was going to dip you and everything!” He complained, but was smiling. “You didn't even wait for the guy to finish.”
“I was just so excited and happy, sue me.” I stuck my tongue out at him.
“You totally owe me.”

“Maybe later.” I leaned over and kissed him. “But we have a party to get to.”
