Damned If I Do Ya

Setting Up

Since Jack made me think of the next date, I spent a week coming up with a brilliant plan to make him think twice about letting me do such things. Like I said before, we're only going to move up in this 'new' relationship every time we finished something for the wedding, we might as well get started.

I told Jack to be free all day on Saturday, and when he asked what we were doing I refused to answer. When it finally rolled around, I gave him a puppy wake up call, earning a mean name and getting forgiveness when I gave him a kiss. Once Jack was up and moving, we walked outside and he noticed the two-seater bike I had rented in the front yard.

“What the hell is that?” He asked, as I walked up to it.
“That's, our ride.”
“You're making me exercise on this date?” He scoffed, and I rolled my eyes.
“Only for a bit, now get your ass on here Barakat. You can be up front.” I offered and he just shrugged.
“Oh, why not?”

As we rode through the city, me giving Jack directions since he was in charge of steering, the ride was actually really fun. It took a bit for us to go the same speed, and it brought up a lot of laughs in the beginning. Once we got to where I was taking us, Jack looked up at the older, big church and titled his head.

“Why are we here?” He asked, getting off the bike after I did.
“Cause there's a huge venue down the street and about five bars in between.” I answered, smirking and he still looked confused. “I thought it would be fun to bar-hop to the reception.”
“God, I fucking love you.” Jack cheered, lifting me up in a spinning hug.
“We have to go in and book the priest and stuff still.” I laughed. “But, glad you like the idea.”
“We're doing lots of wedding stuff today, aren't we?”
“I figured we're going to be too impatient to take this whole, redo super slow. Plus, you're gonna love the next part.

Once we managed to set our date at the church and the venue, grabbing a couple drinks on the way, I hailed a cab for us to go to the next place. Jack paid for it even though I tried to, but he never listens to me on money. I got him to close his eyes and lead him into the store where we would be doing gift registration. I planted him in front of the computer, and said he could open his eyes.

“You have twenty minutes to pick whatever you want.” I said, and Jack pulled me into his lap.
“You mean what we want. Sooo...anything?”
“If you must get video games, go ahead.” I laughed while Jack immediately took over.

After we went crazy with the choosing of gifts that we wanted, including a few house items we actually needed, I took Jack out to lunch at his favorite sports bar, and made damn sure I paid for it this time. It was fun to watch him pout. We went back home after that, and I played Home Alone on the big screen and we cuddled for the movie. Jack surprisingly didn't spend as much time watching the movie as he did trying to make out and go further on the couch. Which led to this:

“Ah ah ah,” I said, shoving him off me. “No sex.”
“Why not.” He whined, pouting.
“What kind of girl would I be if I had sex on the second date?” I gasped and Jack rolled his eyes.
“Can't we ignore that part.”
“You'll live.” I laughed, “I mean, I know sex is like your number one priority...”
“You say that like you don't enjoy it too.” He snorted, and I poked his nose.
“But I can last longer without it.”
“Hey, if I wanted to, I could.”
“Bullshit!”
“Want to bet?” He asked after a moment.
“Fuck yeah I do.” I agreed.

So, now the plan was to see who needed sex first and if we both made it to the wedding day, then we were going to go wild. If we didn't, then the person who caved is a loser and no one likes being a loser in this relationship. There was no purposely turning each other on in this bet, which kind of sucked, but oh well. I didn't suggest anything about getting ourselves off, cause let's face it, Jack and I won't be away long enough for him to jerk off and feel some relief.

Man, I am one evil girlfriend.

Once the movie was over, I pulled Jack to the kitchen and handed him a notebook.

“We need to make out a guest list.”
“Seriously?”
“I'll be cooking while we do it.”
“You bought lunch and are now making dinner? You spoil me.” Jack chuckled, kissing my cheek. “Okay, I'll write down our band friends first, okay?”
“Alright.” I said, pecking his lips before running off to get started. “But don't write down that Gaskarth kid, he's a douche.”
“Wouldn't dream of it.” Jack laughed, scribbling down out friends. “You want Dalton and Hayley there right?”
“Duh, don't forget Cass.” I said, getting out ingredients for baked mac n' cheese.
“What other bands are we inviting?”
“Probably everyone we know.”
“Sure we have a big enough venue?”
“Yep.”

We kept saying random names of people we know, as Jack wrote them down and I cooked. We were going to bring a ton of people to this. Blink, Green Day, We the Kings, We Are The In Crowd, Paramore, and so many more. Not to mention Jack's extended family that was sure to come. Thankfully my family was small and not tight-nit. I tried to avoid talking about bringing my dad, but Jack said he's gonna know once we told his mom about this and I would have to confront him about all this eventually.

When we were struggling to think of anyone else, I took a plunge after putting the bake in the oven and sat down in front of Jack.

“Do...do you want to invite Bri?” I asked, and Jack froze, dropping the pencil.
“What?”
“Well, I know she was your....friend.” I said, and fiddled with my hands. “And, I mean, my anxiety is getting better to control and I don't want to stand in between you guys just being buds cause that's not fair to you. I'm sure she's not that bad, not as bad as I want to think she is...that is...and I-”
“Em, you're rambling.” He said, reaching over to stop my fiddling. “You don't have to do this.”
“Can I just ask something?” I looked up at him, and he sighed.
“Anything.”
“If..if you wanna invite her." I spoke up, and mumbled the last bit. "Can I just meet her first?”
