And Tell Me You Love Me

Remember Where You've Been

Man and wife was the usual term that is used to announce a new couple, but as the priest said husband and husband, I felt tears well up in my brown eyes. I couldn't believe that this was happening to me. This was something that I'd waited for my entire life and here it was. I was married to the gorgeous Jack Barakat and I literally couldn't ask for anything more.

He leaned down and kissed my lips gently and I heard people around us clapping and cheering. We pulled apart and he held my hand tightly, leading me back down the aisle and his new husband. A smile graced my lips and I knew that I now was the new Alexander William Barakat-Gaskarth.

"I love you," Jack whispered, squeezing my hand and I gave him a smile.

"I love you more, Jacky," I said, heading outside to the patio where we were going to have our reception. Food was already set out and I saw little silver ribbons flowing in the wind from the back of the chairs. I could see a band setting up, tuning their guitars, and muttering among themselves.

"Please tell me I'm not dreaming," I said and Jack squeezed my hand once again and led me to the table where the wedding party was to sit. Jack and I had our places in the middle and our guests followed outside a few moments later, joining us.

"Trust me, Alex. You're not," he said, pulling out my chair and I took my seat before he joined me. His hand laced with mine once again and people began approaching us, giving us their congratulations. Others had already aimed towards the food and I could still feel the butterflies flying around my stomach. I couldn't even explain how nervous I was as I watched Jack walk towards me. I had heard the voices from our guests saying that they had been waiting for this wedding, that Jack looked handsome, that I was lucky to have him. I ignored them though and I had focused on my love.

"Are you okay?" May asked, taking a seat on the other side of me and placing a hand on my shoulder. I quickly nodded my head and gave her a smile.

"I couldn't be any better. Hey, looks like we're related now," I said and she chuckled and smiled. I twisted my gold ring around my finger. It felt so strange, so new, but I knew that it held a heavy symbol behind it.

The reception flew by rather quickly and before I knew it, twilight was in the air and the band was playing a slow song. Jack took my hand and lead me to the dance floor where couples were swaying back and forth, holding their significant others close to them. Jack put his hands on my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck, taking in his scent as I placed my head on his shoulder.

We, too, swayed back and forth with the song and I heard Jack singing along with the song. Another smile fell on my lips and I never thought that I could smile so much. I was so happy though. I mean, I never thought that this would happen to me.

A year ago, I was a lonely guy who lived in a house that used to be owned by my parents. I barely made it by with anything and spent most of my days at the park playing guitar and earning my 'two dollars and a bent paperclip' pay. My only friends were my guitar and a bottle of alcohol to drown away my pain.

Here I was, so much stronger. Married to the man of my dreams, my family around me, and pure happiness. I couldn't ask for anything else. Who would?

Jack held me tight to him and we stayed like that well after the song was over. We stood there holding each other and I thought about everything that happened the past year. It seemed like it was only days ago that he was standing in the crowd listening to me play guitar. If he hadn't of approached me first, well, more than likely we wouldn't be here right now.

I looked at Jack's doe brown eyes and I whispered, "You're all I could ever ask for."

He smiled at me and leaned down, capturing my lips in a soft kiss. I never wanted it to end, but I had a feeling that it would. He pulled away from me and I whispered every so softly, "Tell me you love me."

"I love you," he said, kissing me again.

After all we'd been through, I'm amazed we lasted this long. Then again, they do say that love is the strongest force of all and I wouldn't ask for anyone else, but Jack. He was the only one that I'd ever dreamed of and I wouldn't ask for anyone else in the world... Not Dan, not May, not anyone. Just him.

"I love you so much," he said again and I smiled.

He was the only one I ever needed.

Notes

I have a few tears in my eyes. I hate to leave this story, but here it is. The end of And Tell Me You Love Me. I'd like to thank all of you for sticking with my coauthor and I for so long and I hope that you stick with us on the other adventures that we have in mind. I'm sure that we'll be doing another story soon so stay tuned for that.
I hate to let Jack and Alex go, but it's time that they go live their life happily.
Thank you for reading and until next time... Enjoy.

This is legit one of the best Jalex stories ever written. You two collabed so well together, it was so beautifully written and the plot was perfect. I really hope you (both or separate) two make more stories because this was an amazing creation ♥♥
