Zack and his band mates stepped into their tour bus as Alex-- the lead singer-- waved good bye to the crowd of faces. The skunk haired boy known as Jack plopped onto the couch, complaining of exhaustion. Rian -- the drummer-- and Alex embraced with their girlfriends. Zack always wanted a relationship like that, but he could never find the right girl. Hes had plenty of useless flings with random girls he thought were 'the one' but they were all the same. With that thought in mind Zack silently brushed his teeth and climbed into his bunk for another night of longing the warmth of a woman beside him.

Ariel was stuck as a third wheel once again. Her friend had invited her to see a movie, but she didn't know her friend was inviting her boyfriend. Ariel stared blankly at the screen not really paying attention to the movie. After it ended she drove home and entered her tiny apartment with a sigh. She played with her cat Grover for a few minutes and went to bed, thinking about how lonely she had always been.
