So Wrong, It's Right

Kiss Me Again

The next morning, I woke up to my alarm going off. I quickly turned it off, not willing to let today be here yet. Today Joyce and dad came home, which meant Jack and I were going to have to be careful. Now only that, but we went back to school today, and I'm sure we're actually going to hang out there. I remembered Jack's fears of me falling for someone else, which won't happen, but I do get hit on. A lot.

I'm hoping it's just cause I'm the new girl and soon everyone will leave me alone. I mean, I'm not that amazing looking.

I sighed, and felt Jack shift slightly behind me, we had moved to a spooning position. I rolled over as gently as possible so I could see his sleeping face. His face was smooth and relaxed as he snore quietly, mouth slightly ajar. I couldn't help but just stare at him, marveling at how adorable he was right now.

Remembering we wouldn't be able to do this ever again, unless Joyce and dad were gone, I pouted. I just wanted to lay here for eternity. I felt so warm and safe, being in Jack's arms. Sadly, we did have school, and I'm sure we'll be late if I refuse to wake him up.

Getting a sly idea, I leaned up and kissed him softly. His mouth closed and soon was moving against mine.

“That's something to wake up to.” He chuckled, once we pulled away.
“Had to wake your lazy butt up somehow.” I teased, Jack only hummed and connected our lips again.
“I don't wanna get up.” He complained after we parted again.
“Me neither, but we have school.”
“Don't remind me.” He pouted. “I'm driving you.”
“Okay.”
“And you're eating lunch with me.”
“Okay.” I chuckled.
“Don't let any guys touch you.” He said, gently hugging me closer.
“You're bossy.” I said, shaking my head. “Nothings going to happen.”

I felt him shrug around me, before I pushed him off. He made a noise of protest, but I seriously needed to get ready.

“Get up you big baby.” I laughed. “I have to change and stuff.”
“I don't mind staying for that.” He said, sending me a devilish grin.
“Get out pervert!” I laughed, throwing a pillow at him.
“Fine.” He got up, and wrapped his arms around me. “One more kiss?”

I rolled my eyes, but leaned up to oblige. I don't care if we're being that gross new couple who are in the 'honeymoon' stage. Kissing Jack was addicting, and I was willing to do it whenever.

“I'll be back in ten minutes.” He said, pulling away and leaving my room.

I put on a Paramore shirt and some half black, half red pants before locating my new perfume. Spraying that on, I walked out to head to the bathroom so I could brush my teeth. When I walked in, Jack was already there. He spit out his toothpaste and rinsed his mouth.

“Oh, wow. Fancy meeting you here.” He joked, and I just shook my head.
“It's funny how you think you're funny.” I said, taking over the sink. As I squirted toothpaste onto my brush, Jack rested his hands on the counter on either side of me.
“I think I'm hilarious.” He muttered in my head, leaning down to kiss down my neck towards my shoulder.
“Jack, quit it.” I groaned, and he just kept torturing me. “We do not have time for this.”
“Sure we do.” He insisted, resting his head on my shoulder.
“No, we really don't. Lemme brush my teeth.”
“You are no fun.”
“And you're over-excited.” I stated, sticking my toothbrush into my mouth.

When we finally left the house, I started sorting through Jack's cds before picking out Dookie and popping it in. We sang along to the Green Day album together until Jack parked in the school's parking lot. I guess he always parked here, because we were right next to Alex's car that had Rian and Zack in it.

“Oh, look who's finally getting along.” Alex teased as we got out.
“Shut it, Lex.” I stuck my tongue out at him.
“Put that away before I bite it.” He said.
“Alex.” Both Jack, and surprisingly Zack warned.
“What did I do?” Alex asked innocently.
“On a serious note, you two aren't fighting?” Rian asked, and I shrugged while Jack answered.
“Nahh, we got over it.”
“Glad to hear it.”

We all walked to school together. Rian and Zack asked me some questions about my old home and friends and stuff. I told them everything they wanted to know, and asked them some things as well. It was nice to actually be part of a group for once. Cass would walk with me sometimes to the class we shared, but that's it.

The good feeling ended when we all heard a catcall from down the lockered hall.

“Hey Ember, whatcha doing hangin with those fags? You should hang out with a real man!” We all looked to see some thick-headed jerk leaning against his locker with some friends.

They all had gross hungry looks on their face. I felt Jack tense and put a hand on his arm to calm him down before calling back.

“Point me towards one, and I'll give him a chance.”

The look on the dude's face? Priceless.
