Welcome To Hell

Blue Sky To Forever, Green Grass Grows in the wind, Dancing.

"Oh fuck," I grunted, rolling out of the rusted hospital bed. I had no idea how I ended up here. One of the guys must have brought me, but why did they just leave me here? The dim light was giving me a headache and the stentch alone made me feel as if many people had died on that very bed. "Guys? A little help here?"

Lifting myself up from the ground, I realized there was a bandage around my head. As my fingers danced around the cloth, I could feel dried blood forming around a fresh wound. It was then that I remembered the horrible growls, the blood-curling howl and then the feeling of razors knocking me off my feet. But there were no wounds on my arms, nothing to justify my story. Perhaps I was just confused from my head injury, that that.. Thing, it seemed so real. Like a Hell hound ready to drag me away.

I let out a soft sigh and glanced around the room. The walls appeared to be just as rusted as my bed had been. The tables and counters opposite of the bed were busted, dirty in a way I'd never seen before. There was absolutely no way anyone still worked here. The place couldn't possibly still be running - So, why am I here? Matt wouldn't have brought me here just to dress a wound. We had plenty of stuff with us to mend that.

And that's when it hit me: They still hadn't replied yet. Unless you count the buzzing from the dim light, there was no sound around me. An uneasy feeling settled in my bones. I shouldn't be here. No one should be here. This was a dangerous and dark place. Or maybe, I forced a smile, maybe the guys were just playing a Halloween prank on me. Yeah, that's it. This is just a room used for a haunted house. I'm safe.

Feeling slightly better about the situation, I dusted the matter from the bed away from my clothes and started making my way to the door. I had a feeling finding my way out of this place would be a task, but it'd be worth it just to punch all of those bastards in the face. My hand was about to grab the knob when the door flew open, nearly smacking me in the face, and a blonde ran in with panic on her face. She slammed the door shut, panting for air as she held tight to the gun in her hand. I was trying my best to remind myself that none of this was real, but she sure as fuck looked scared to death for someone involved in a Halloween prank.

"Who the fuck are you?"

I was taken aback as she clicked the door locked, her arm steady as could be as she raised the gun and pointed it directly at my face. My blood was running hot, my body was shaking. I slowly backed towards the bed.

"I asked you a question."

"I'm Alex," I held my arms up. "Alex Gaskarth."

"Okay?" She took a step closer to me, the gun still pointed at my skull. "How'd you get here, Alex?"

"I- I don't know. We were staying in this motel, Jack's Inn. When I woke up everything was empty and covered in fog. Then this.. This thing, it attacked me. I woke up here and-"

"You're confused and scared, wondering where everyone you love went?"

"Exactly."

"You must feel like shit for dragging your friends into this, eh?"

I blinked, a relaxed feeling washing over my body as she lowered her gun. She began pacing the room, digging through the piles of ruins, looking for God knows what.

"What do you mean?"

"There's a reason you're here, Alex. You did something, repressed something, something big from your past. Unless you have a connection to this town, you're here to face your demons. You'll spend the rest of your life fighting for your freedom."

What the Hell was this girl talking about? I don't even know where here is. Her words sounded so pure, so true, that I could just shrug them off. Crining at the thought, I took a step towards her, earning a stern look from the blonde.

"Where are we?"

"Silent Hill." The girl flashed me a grin, a morbid grin, that made me shiver. Whoever she was, she'd been here for a while. "You'll figure out before long why you were called here. In the meantime, I suggest learning how to use this."

I nearly screamed as the tossed a steel pipe in my direction. How did she find that in the ruins? Better yet, why would I need it?

"Alex, I promise I'll explain everything later, but for right now we need to get the fuck out of here. We'll go to Jack's Inn and get some supplies."

I nodded my head, knowing perfectly well that my face had gone pale. The idea of having to use this pipe on someone almost broke me down. I wasn't a murderer.. Was I?

"And Alex?"

"Huh?"

"Aim for the head."

Notes

Okay, guys! I've been waiting to post this until my contest was over and now it is! Just a little scary story to get into the Halloween mood. If you haven't noticed by now, it's my favorite Holiday. This will be a short story, I hope. For those of you who are SH fans (games, not the movies) I warn you in advance that I will not be following the actual storyline of the game, just the basic idea. 90% of the locations were taken from the games, more specifically, the third game. I hope you enjoy!
