Alex POV:

I wasn't very excited about going on tour this time. Normally, I love going on tour, because it's what I do. Making music, singing, writing songs, living on a bus, meeting fans,.. it's what I do. But now that my beautiful girlfriend was pregnant, I wanted to stay with her. I wanted to be with her, all 9 months. But I couldn't let the fans down now. After this tour we would take a break, though. I wanted to spend time with Ashley and our baby, as much time as possible. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, being a dad, but I had no other choice. I was going to miss the band and everything, but I just wasn't going to be able to combine those two in the first few years. The guys had to understand that.. I didn't want my kid to grow up without me.

The week went by very fast and soon enough it was Friday. I talked to Ashley's boss and he agreed that she didn't have to come to work. We would first stop by my parents to tell the news and then we would go to New York for the weekend to see hers.

"Ashley, Alexander, good to see you two again!" My mom smiled when she saw us standing in the doorway. "Oh, please, come in." I wrapped my arm around Ash's waist and walked inside with her. My dad was sitting at the kitchen table, reading the newspaper. "Look who is here." My mom said to him. He put away his paper and stood up from where he sat. "Alexander." he smiled and gave me a hug. "Hello, Ashley." "Hello Peter." Ashley answered and he hugged her, too. "Sit down, do you want anything to drink?" "No, I'm good, thanks." Ashley said polite. "I'm good too, thanks, mom." I said and sat down on the couch in the living room. Ashley followed me and sat down next to me. "So, what brings you two here on a Friday morning?" My dad asked as he sat down in the other couch, next to my mother. "Well, Ashley and I need to tell you something." I said with a smile. I looked at Ashley and took her hand in mine. "We're expecting a baby." I said proudly. "Oh, Alexander! What a wonderful news!" My mom said, tears filling her eyes. I had known this would be her reaction. It was a dream coming true for her. She had always thought she would never be a grandmother because I wouldn't have time to raise a kid. Or that I would wait for a long time and have a baby when she was already old and couldn't enjoy being a grandmother anymore. She wiped away a tear and pulled me into a hug. "Congratulations!" she said and also pulled Ashley into a hug. "Thank you, Isobel. Alex and I are very happy." Ashley told her. My dad hugged the both of us as well. "Congratulations. Now I feel old, Alexander." he joked and I smiled.

We stayed for another half hour but then we explained we were going to New York for the weekend to tell Ashley's parents about the news. "Have fun in New York!" My mom said, a wide smile was still on her face. "And say hi from us to your parents, Ashley." My dad said. "I will." Ash smiled at him. I gave my parents another hug and then took Ashley's hand. "Bye mom and dad!" I said. "Bye Isobel. Bye Peter!" Ash said and we walked to the car.

"That went well." Ashley said as soon as we were in the car. "Yeah, they always hoped I would have a child anytime soon." I answered. "And now we have to face my parents." she sighed. I looked over at her. "Do you think they won't be happy for us?" I asked. She sighed again and shook her head. "I don't know.." I put my hand on her leg. "It will be okay." "I hope so."

Ashley POV:

It was already late in the afternoon when Alex parked the car in front of my parents house. "So, this is where you've been." he said, talking about all those years since I left Baltimore. "This is where I've been." I simply answered, not wanting to think about the years without Alex. I walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. After a minute, my mom appeared in the doorway, a surprised look on her face. "Ashley!" she smiled and hugged me. "Mom." I buried my face in her shoulder, inhaling her perfume deeply. I had missed her. When she let go of me, she looked at Alex. "Alexander, you have grown so much." she said. "Nice to see you again, Mrs. Sparks." Alex shook my mothers hand. "Oh, call me Mary." My mom told him. "Alright, Mary." he winked.

"Ashley, finally!" My dad walked up towards me and hugged me. "Alexander, good to see you again." he shook Alex' hand. "So, you're in a band now?" Alex smiled at him. "Yes I am, Shane." Just as Alex' mom, my mom asked if we wanted something to drink. "I would like some water." Alex answered. "I'll get it, mom." I said to her as I walked into the kitchen to get two glasses of water. One for Alex and one for myself. As I walked back into the living room, everyone had taken place on the couch. I handed Alex his glass and sat down next to him. "How long are you staying?" My mom asked us. "Just for the weekend, mom. I need to work again on Monday." She nodded. "Are you staying here or in a hotel?" "We booked a hotel just down the street." Alex told her, and she nodded again. "So, how are things in Baltimore? And how are your parents doing, Alexander?" my dad asked. "They're doing great. Actually, we had to say hi from them." Alex smiled. "That's very nice of them. We should visit Baltimore sometime soon, don't you think, Mary?" my dad said to my mom. "You're right." she agreed. "That's a great idea. Anyways, your daughter and I wanted to tell you something." Alex began and I felt very nervous all of a sudden. "We wanted to tell you that... We're pregnant!" Alex said, and I could hear in his voice that he was very proud. My parents didn't say anything for a while, and there was a very awkward silence.

And then my mom stood up, looking at me. "Ashley Grace Sparks, can I have a word with you?"
