Wrong Place, Wrong Time...

(Sam's POV)

After school I walked right up to my temporary bedroom at Jack's house.School is just too much for me.As soon as I reached the door I shut it behind me and broke down sobbing on the bed.I could care less that my makeup was running all down my face or that my sobs could probably be heard downstairs.Maybe 10 minutes later or so I heard my door open.Without any thought I knew it was Jack.He came over to me and wrapped his arms around me protectively.

"I won't let anybody hurt you thats a promise." He whispered to me as I clutched on to his tee shirt.

(Jack's POV)

"I won't let anybody hurt you thats a promise." I whispered to Sam as I held her.

I gently rocked my body back and forth as she sat on my lap.It seemed to relax her because before long her sobs were replaced with steady breathing.She had fallen asleep.I gently layed her down and covered her small frame in the comforter on the bed.I turned to leave but a hand grabbed my arm.

"Stay? please." Sam asked with pleading look in her eyes.

I gave her a gentle smile and climbed in the bed with her.She seemed hesitant at first but gently rested her head on my chest and grabbed my arm gently resting it over her midsection.I grinned as she returned to her peaceful sleep.

"You make me feel safe." She murmured sweetly.

I gently planted a kiss on her temple before drifting to sleep myself.Was it possible I liked Sam more than I thought?

(Sam's POV)

"Joyce come here and look at these two." I heard a male voice say in the distance.

"Aww look how cute is that!" A female voice exclaimed.

I felt a body next to mine stir and pull me closer.Thats when memories came back.Last night Jack came in and comforted me after I cried a lot and I curled up next to him in the bed because I didn't want him to leave.He even planted a kiss on my temple.I couldn't help but smile at the thought.Jack has been my secret crush since like 5th grade.Of course nobody knows that because I had no friends to tell.

"Should we wake them up?" The same female voice asked aloud.

"Nah they can stay home today Sam doesn't need to deal with those kids." The same familiar male voice responded.

After the door was shut again I slowly opened my eyes and looked around.Thats right I was at Jack's house.I looked down to see a sleeping Jack.He looked so peaceful and happy.I followed his long arm all the way down to were it was placed.Across my mid section Jack held my protectively like if he were to let go I would drift away.I couldn't help but blush.I was about to get up when I felt Jack stir again.His eyes opened and stared into mine.

"Good morning Sam." He smiled at me with his morning voice.

My god his morning voice.I tried but failed at holding back a blush.

"M-morning." I responded as I stretched my arms and stood up.

Jack did the same and we both headed downstairs.

"Well goodmorning sleepy heads." Joyce smirked at us.

I gave her a small smile and sat down at the table where she suggested both Jack and I sit for breakfast.

"So what do you guys want to do today? Its gonna be a fun day out on the town because we all can use a vacation from school and work." Joyce asked us.

I was surprised.Was she serious?

"Well the fair kinda sounds fun doesn't it Sam?" Jack asked me and I nodded.

"The fair sounds nice."

"Then the fair it is" Joyce responded with a smile.
