Trigger warning: dangerous traffic situation

Today was the big day, Mariella Haley Juliana Storm was coming to us. Yes I know it is a long name, but it had been very difficult to decide, as all different relatives wanted their names to be in it. But I think it is a pretty good job we did. Of course she will be only Mari or something similar to us, but still, I think the name is beautiful.

We had done extensive baby accessory shopping, our house was stuffed to the roof with diapers, clothing for her and toys in all variations. We had also not forgot to make the house baby-safe, meaning that all electric outlets had been accessorized with a “BabySafeOutlet” thing so Mari would not be able to electrocute herself when she would be older.

We were ready. It was 8 am. Alex was driving us to the orphanage and I was about to burst through the front shield with excitement. I felt amazing! But only until I saw the other car coming from the right, at high speed, ignoring the red light.
