I'm Coming With You

1/1

Jack continued playing Dear Maria, Count Me In whilst running around on stage, not caring about anything. As Jack smiled down at the crowd but as he looked down through the lights he saw that they weren't happy and jumping to the sound of the music, they all had rather distraught expressions.
Almost instantly, Rian had stopped drumming and Zack had stopped playing bass. Jack had no idea what was going on but as soon as he looked up from the crowd he saw Alex lying on the stage in front of him.
Jack dropped his guitar on the ground roughly, not caring if it broke, and rushed over to Alex. "Oh my god, Rian what happened? Why isn't Alex in stage? What's going on?" Jack was beyond worried now, why was Alex lying on the ground? Why wasn't he moving? Dear Maria was their last song, surely they could cut their show short by a few minutes.
"Jack everything's going to be alright, jut calm down." Rian waved his arms over towards Alex, altering the paramedics. They ran over to Alex and placed him on a stretcher. By now there were tears running down Jack's face. "Will someone tell me what's going on?!" Jack yelled through his tears.
"Alex was jumping around on stage and he lost his balanced. He slipped and hit his head. They're taking him to hospital now, Jack go with them." Rian said, pushing the lanky boy in the direction of the paramedics. Jack did nothing but run after the people carrying his best friend away.
Jack got into the ambulance with the paramedics and sat next to Alex, watching the people do their job to help Alex. Jack had stopped crying but he still felt terrible. He started to blame himself, even though he knew that it wasn't his fault. Alex should've been a little more careful, he gets carried away sometimes.
Jack could hear the sirens coming from the ambulance which was probably why they arrived at the hospital so quickly. Alex was rushed to a room where a doctor checked everything and wrote some stuff down on a clipboard.
Jack was made to wait outside of Alex's room, just hopping that the people inside knew what they were doing. Once a doctor exited Alex's room Jack practically jumped out of his seat. "Is he going to be alright?" Jack asked. The doctor chuckled. This wasn't funny, why was he laughing? "Your friend will be fine, he's still sleeping. It was only a hit to the head, he'll be alright." The doctor nodded. "Thank you, can I see him?" Jack said. The doctor nodded his head.
Jack rushed into the room and sat in the seat that was conveniently placed next to Alex's bed. Jack held Alex's hand, hoping that soon enough Alex would wake up so he'd know that Alex was okay.
A few hours had passed since they'd arrived at the hospital, Rian had called to say that he and Zack were going to the gym to cool off whilst Flyzik was cancelling radio shows. On one had Jack thought that it was a little insensitive of Rian and Zack to just go to a gym whilst their friend was in hospital but on the other hand Jack didn't want anyone else to be around Alex until he woke up.
Nurses had offered Jack something to eat but he refused, hospital food tasted like shit. Jack was growing tired but he was going to stay awake until Alex woke up. Jack's eyelids were getting heavy and just as he had closed them he felt someone squeezing his hand back.
Jack's eyes shot open and looked at the sleepy man in front of him. "Alex, you're awake." Jack smiled, probably looked like a giant idiot. "Y-Yeah, I am." Alex brushed his fringe out of his face and looked up at Jack. "You stayed here the whole time?" Alex asked. Jack nodded his head. "I was scared." Jack said honestly. Before the two were able to continue their conversation, a doctor walked in and checked on Alex.
"You'll have to stay in overnight but you're free to go tomorrow as long as everything remains healthy and normal." With that the doctor walked out, leaving Jack and Alex alone once again. "See Jack? I'm fine, everything's going to be okay." Alex smiled. "But maybe if I had of been paying more attention to you one stage then this wouldn't have happened. This is all my fault." "Jack don't blame yourself, I was stupid for not watching where I was going." Alex chuckled. "There is something that you could do to make me feel better..." Alex trailed off. "What is it?" Jack asked. "Cuddle me?" Alex said quietly.
Without Alex having to ask again, Jack got into the small hospital bed and wrapped his arms around Alex. They'd slept together in one of their bunks a few times before, this wasn't really that different. "Thanks Jack." Alex smiled as he rested his head on Jack's rising and falling chest. "You're welcome Alex." Jack pressed a kiss to Alex's forehead and shut his eyes.
